Mahindra Scorpio N with matte PPF is a head-turner [Video]

Mahindra Scorpio N is currently the most popular SUV in its segment. The SUV was launched in the market few months ago and just like many other Mahindra products, Scorpio N received an overwhelming response from customers. Mahindra Scorpio N is currently one of the vehicles with longest waiting period in the country.  There are several videos of Scorpio N available online where the owners are seen talking about their experience with the SUV after owning. Some are positive and others negative. People have also started modifying the SUV too. Here we have a video where a Mahindra Scorpio N in Deep forest shade gets a matte PPF which completely transforms the look.

The video has been uploaded by Fuel Injected on their YouTube channel. In this video, vlogger shows a Scorpio N SUV which looks different from the regular ones. The owner had opted for Deep Forest shade which is actually a shade of Deep Green. The shade looks extremely good on the SUV and it enhances the rugged yet premium look of Scorpio N. The owner of the Scorpio came to a detailing shop for the application of Paint Protection Film. Here in this video, the vlogger talks to the detailing shop owner about the benefits of PPF and how is it different from Ceramic coating.

The owner of the Scorpio N had opted for matte PPF on the SUV. It was looking extremely good as the transparent sheet was giving a different look to the SUV after the application. The workshop even demonstrates and explains how they apply PPF on each vehicle and panel. PPF is actually a piece of transparent sheet that is applied on the body panels of the car to protect the paint from scratches, swirl marks and even the quality of the paint. Ceramic coating on the other hand is a liquid that hardens on the paint of the car after application giving it a glass like finish.

The ceramic coating does not protect the panels from scratches as it is applied on the paint job. In case of a minor accident, the PPF might protect the paint on the body panels but, that is not applicable when it comes to Ceramic. PPF is also more expensive when compared to Ceramic and it also last long. The shop owner can be heard saying in the video that charges for PPF depend on the size of the vehicle. Price for doing PPF on a car like Scorpio would cost anywhere between s 85,000 to Rs 1.5 lakh. Ceramic coating can be done for around Rs 25,000-Rs 40,000.

The PPF is applied on the panels only after deep cleaning so that no dust particles are trapped under the film. They also use detailing clay to absorb even the smallest dust particles from the panels. This video is actually a good example that shows how a small modification can completely change the look of the car. In this case, the Scorpio N is completely stock but, the matte PPF has completely changed the overall looks and it will definitely attract people on the road.
