The facelifted Mahindra Scorpio SUV has received a new range of accessories. The accessory range for Mahindra’s latest SUV includes fitments for both the exteriors and interiors. The stainless steel bumper guards for the front and the rear of the Scorpio Facelift are expected to see brisk sales as owners of many SUVs and MUVs sold in India opt for these accessories. Similarly, the roof mounted blower is another accessory which could turn out to be quite popular as the Scorpio’s rear AC vents don’t reach the third row passengers. The following images will give you the full details on the new accessory range for the Scorpio Facelift. The Scorpio SUV Facelift, dubbed the New Generation Scorpio by Mahindra, has undergone major changes in terms of chassis, body, features and suspension. Mahindra has outfitted the Scorpio Facelift with a hydroformed ladder frame chassis that is not only lighter than the older chassis, but is also much more stiffer. The suspension has been revised for a more pliant ride, with polyurethane bushes used for longer life. The SUV gets a host of stylistic changes at the front and the rear, with new projector headlamps and LED tail lamps, a new grille, bumpers and a revised tail gate design. In terms of engine and transmissions, the 2.5 liter M2DiCR and 2.2 mHawk diesels are retained, albeit with lower outputs of 75 Bhp-200 Nm and 120 Bhp-280 Nm respectively. New mechanical bits such as a 5 speed manual gearbox and a banjo rear axle have been added to the mHawk engined Scorpio while the S4 four wheel drive variant gets optional safety equipment in the form of airbags and ABS. The Scorpio Automatic will be launched only next year, with deliveries of the four wheel drive model slated to begin over the next few weeks. CarToq’s Facelifted Mahindra Scorpio SUV Launch Report.
