The Mahindra Scorpio is one of the most popular SUVs in India. The Scorpio is known for its robust build quality and road presence. The Scorpio has comfortably surpassed its arch rival, Tata Safari over the years.
The Scorpio is powered by a mHawk CRDe diesel motor that makes 120 bhp of power and 290 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic depending on the variant. The Scorpio returns an ARAI-certified mileage of 13.1 kmpl. The Scorpio is easy to drive as it gets plenty of torque at low rpm. The ride quality is good at low speeds, but as speed increases it gets bumpy. The handling is average with a fair bit of body roll evident when driven at high speeds.
The Scorpio is offered in 4×2 and 4×4 variants in four trims: LX, SLE and VLX. Let’s take a detailed look at what each variant offers.
