Mahindra will launch the all-new Thar on 2nd October in India. The second-generation Thar has already become one of the most anticipated vehicles in the Indian market and there are many who are eagerly waiting to know the price and book the vehicle. Before the official launch, the brochure of the all-new Thar’s accessories has leaked and it reveals quite a lot of information on the upcoming SUV.
Mahindra is likely to offer a range of aftermarket accessories including a range of outer styling pack including Exterior Style Pack, Intense Chrome Pack, Claddings, Chrome appliques, rain visor, body decal and more. Customers will also be able to choose from seat cover, steering cover, lamination mat, magnetic sunshade among other optional accessories.

For the external style pack, the customers will get the front grill add-on that is an interaction of the angry grille. You also get ORVM appliques, front bumper cladding, bumper air dam, wheel arch cladding, tail lamp appliques, and side & shoulder appliques. There is also an intense chrome pack that adds chrome appliques all over the vehicles including front market lamp, door handles, headlamp, fog lamps and more. Other accessories including bug deflector, side-door cladding, headlamp applique, side body decal, 18-inch alloy wheels, alloy wheel ring, steering wheel cover, floor lamination mat and more. Customers can even choose extra set of speakers for the second-row passengers, flap mudguards, keyless entry for AX series and more such accessories.
Mahindra has also been spotted testing the Thar with a different-looking grille, which might be available as an accessory at a later date. Even many other aftermarket garages have started working on the grilles of the Thar too.
The all-new Thar has evolved quite a lot compared to the first-generation model and there are many features that are available with the new SUV for the first time ever. The all-new Mahindra Thar comes powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that comes with an automatic as well as a manual transmission. The petrol engine generates a maximum power of 150 PS and peak torque of 320 Nm. The diesel variants of the all-new Mahindra Thar gets the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that generates a maximum power of 130 PS and peak torque of 320 Nm. Even the diesel-powered variants get the automatic as well as manual transmission options. All the variants of the all-new Mahindra Thar will offer 4X4 drivetrain with low-ratio transfer case.
