Mahindra Thar painted in Sarge Green shade wants to be a Jeep Wrangler [Video]

Mahindra Thar is one of the most popular 4×4 SUVs in the country. It is still one of the most affordable off-road SUV one can buy in India. Current generation Thar was launched in 2020 and it immediately became popular among buyers. Even after 2 years of its launch, there is a long waiting period on the SUV. In the last couple of years, we have seen several examples of tastefully modified Mahindra Thars from different parts of the country. There are a host of aftermarket accessories available for Thar in the market. Here we have a Mahindra Thar that gets customised interiors and paint job.

The video has been uploaded by Yatish Yadav on their YouTube channel. In this video, vloggers shows a completely modified Mahindra Thar. Although the SUV has several modifications on it. The main attraction on the car was the paint job. We have seen several Thar modifications in the past but this different from them all. The owner completely painted the SUV in Sarge Green shade. This is a colour which is available with Jeep Wrangler. The paint job alone has changed the overall look of the car. It now looks more butch and rugged. It should  be noted that this is not a wrap but a proper paint job.

Coming to the other changes, the stock grille on the Thar has been replaced with a Jeep Wrangler style aftermarket grille. Along with the grille, stock bumper on this SUV was also replaced. It now gets an FRP off-road bumper with integrated LED fog lamps in it. shackles are also installed on the bumper. A metal skid plate installed on this Thar. The headlamps on this SUV has been replaced with an aftermarket unit. The headlamp has a ring like dual-function LED DRL in it. The LED DRL on the fenders were also replaced with aftermarket units. They now have sequential LED turn indicators in them.

Just like many other Mahindra Thar SUVs, this SUV also gets an aftermarket alloy wheel. The stock 18 inch wheels have been replaced with 20 inch aftermarket alloy wheels from Fuel. The wheels are wrapped in off-road spec tyres. The spare wheel on this Thar is also a 20 inch unit and there is a custom made cover over it as well. The Thar seen here is a soft top convertible and the SUV looks extremely butch with its top down. At the rear, the stock tail lamps have been replaced with an aftermarket LED unit with sequential turn indicators. The interior on this SUV has also been customised. The owner has opted for a material that matches with the tough exterior design.

The door pads and the seat covers on this SUV are wrapped in material that resembles with crocodile leather. It has a texture that is similar to crocodile leather but it is not original leather. It is leatherette material in green shade. The seats also have leatherette material inserts which enhance the overall look of the cabin. The work done on this SUV looks neat and gives it a unique look as well.
