Mahindra Thar with modifications worth Rs. 10 lakh

Mahindra Thar is one of the most popular 4×4 SUV in the market at the moment. People liked Mahindra Thar for its looks, off-road capabilities and the price. Mahindra Thar is one of the most affordable 4×4 SUVs available in the country. It competes with Force Gurkha SUV in the segment. Thar was launched in the market last year and it quickly became popular among buyers. It currently has a waiting period as long as an year. We have seen several videos of modifications and off-roading on Mahindra Thar. Here we have a Thar that gets modifications worth Rs 10 lakh.

The video has been uploaded by Rajni Chaudhary on their YouTube channel. In this video, vlogger talks about all the modifications that are done to this Thar. On the outside, the Thar gets an aftermarket Jeep like front grille. The stock headlamps have been replaced for imported LED units with integrated dual function LED DRLs. The front bumper remains the same but, the fog lamps are now LEDs.

Coming to the side profile, the car gets 22 inch alloy wheels with low profile tyres. The thick cladding that is seen on the fenders have been finished in gloss black. The door handles and the ORVM gets carbon fiber finish and overall there are no chrome garnishes anywhere on the car. At the rear, the spare wheel is also of the same size and there is an LED tail lamp on the rear glass. Aftermarket reflector lamps have also been installed on the car.

Moving inside, the cabin has been completely updated. In comparison to the regular Thar, this one looks a lot more premium. The car door and the dashboard is all wrapped in leatherette material with red stitching. The door panels also get  red leatherette wrapping on them. The seats gets black and red leatherette upholstery and there is diamond patterns in them. The roof gets black liner with similar patterns in it.

This Thar also gets features like a reverse parking camera, push button start, aftermarket armrest, ambient lighting and so on. The speaker system has also been upgraded and damping has been done on the floor, door and other panels. Overall, the car looks good and the modification gives it a rugged look on the outside and premium on the inside.

Vlogger mentions that the alloy wheels on this Thar are worth Rs 3 lakh. The other modifications done on this car cost around Rs 4 lakh and he mentions that the work on this project has not finished yet. modifications worth Rs 3 lakh more is yet to be done. Once completed, this Thar will have modifications worth Rs 10 lakh on it.

Thar comes with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol version is a 150 Bhp and 320 Nm generating 2.0 litre turbocharged mStallion engine. This engine comes with manual and automatic gearbox options. The diesel engine is a 2.2 litre turbocharged mHawk engine that generates 130 Bhp and 320 Nm of torque. Diesel version is also available with manual and automatic gearbox option.
