Mahindra XUV300 variants-wise features REVEALED

Mahindra is all set to launch its newest model in the XUV series which is XUV300 later this month. The XUV300 is based on the SsangYong Tivoli’s X100 platform. Mahindra has claimed that the XUV300 would be the widest SUV in its class and will have the longest wheelbase as well, at 2,600mm. The dimensions indicate that it would have plenty of space for accommodating five passengers in comfort.

Mahindra has already announced that the SUV will be offered in both petrol and diesel versions. It will be available in four variants – W4, W6, W8 and W8 (O). Recently, a leaked image has provided us a detailed glimpse at the variant wise feature break up of Mahindra XUV300.

Dual airbags, ABS with EBD and ISOFIX child safety seat anchors have been provided as standard across all variants. These standard safety features signify how the Indian automobile manufacturers are giving the due importance towards the safety of passengers.

According to the leaked image, the base W4 variant would get an audio system with a 3.5-inch display and 4 speakers. In the diesel version, it gets electric ORVMs, electric tailgate release, gearshift indicator, multi-mode steering wheel, and 16-inch steel wheels.

The W6 variant gets silver accents on its grille and air dam, keyless entry is provided along with a multi-function steering wheel, wheel caps, door cladding, roof rails and spoiler with a high-mounted stop lamp. The W8 variant gets automatic projector headlamps with LED DRLs and 17-inch alloy wheels and silver-finish front and rear skid plates. On the inside, it gets a massive 7-inch touch screen infotainment system with navigation. Also, Android Auto and Apple Car Play connectivity have been integrated with the infotainment system. It has 6-way adjustable driver’s seat, rain-sensing wipers, dual-zone automatic climate control, mood lighting and electrically foldable ORVMs with integrated turn signals and heated mirrors. Additional Safety features include ESP with hill hold assist and reverse parking camera with dynamic guidelines.

The W8 (O) variant is expected to get all the features offered on the W8 trim. In addition to that, it comes with knee and side airbags, faux leather interiors, Auto-dimming IRVM, tire pressure monitoring system, front parking sensors,17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, a sunroof, and dual-tone roof rails.

Overall the features of the XUV300 will allow it to give a tough fight to its competitors such as the Maruti Vitara Breeza, Ford EcoSport & Tata Nexon. Mahindra has surely upped the ante in this class segment to steer ahead of the competitors. With competitive pricing and a sound marketing strategy, Mahindra may be able to get a significant chunk of pie in the compact SUV segment. It’s now time to wait and watch for the pricing.
