All variants of the XUV500 are eligible for the extended warranty packages.
Mahindra is also offering a 5 year, extended road side assistance package in partnership with Bajaj Allianz. The 27X7 roadside assistance package offers the following features:
- Flatbed towing service free of charge to the nearest Mahindra service centre
- Taxi charges for the customer till the closest service station
- Up to 5 litres of free fuel, in case the car runs out of diesel
A highly successful product for Mahindra, the XUV500 is the first monocoque bodied SUV to roll out from the Indian automaker’s factories. The XUV500 is produced at Mahindra’s Chakan manufacturing facility, off Pune. The SUV is available with a single diesel engine option – the 2.2 liter-4 cylinder turbocharged mHawk motor that outputs 140 Bhp of peak power and 330 Nm of peak torque. A six speed manual gearbox handles torque transmission functions on both front wheel drive and all wheel drive variants of the XUV500.
Airbags and ABS+EBD are standard safety features across the XUV500’s variant range. Mahindra has positioned the feature loaded XUV500 as an alternate to D-Segment sedans in India and this strategy has worked very well thus far, with the crossover’s monthly sales exceeding that of the entire D-Segment line up in India. Next year, the Mahindra XUV500 will receive a comprehensive midlife makeover along with a new automatic gearbox equipped variant.
