Mahindra XUV700 AX5 customised to look like more premium AX7 [Video]

Mahindra XUV700 has impressed many people, and several factors are contributing to it. One of the parameters where the XUV700 has been able to outshine its competition is the overall feel and design of the cabin.

The XUV700 has a very elegant look on the inside, that not only outshines the interior of all of its direct competitors but also those in some of the vehicles priced higher than it. To enhance its overall visual appeal on the inside, even more, an after-market customization shop has made an effort, which is indeed worth mentioning.

In a YouTube video uploaded by ‘Car Stylein’, we can see a Mahindra XUV700 being customized with a new interior finish, which is done to make it feel more premium and classier on the inside. The variant seen in this video is the mid-spec AX5 variant of the XUV700, which gets an all-black fabric upholstery with contrasting silver accents on the dashboard and door panels.

Mahindra XUV700 AX5 Customisation

For the customization job, every interior panel of the Mahindra XUV700 is taken out, the list of which includes the entire dashboard, steering wheel, instrument console, inner covers for the pillars, and door trims and seats. All these panels have a black finish to them. However, in the other half of the video, we can see that the entire cabin look has been changed. The cabin now gets a dual-tone black and beige finish, with contrasting touches in piano black and teak wood theme.

Starting from the seats, all the seats of this customized XUV700 get beige-colored artificial leather having a diamond quilted pattern over them. The same diamond-quilted theme has been carried out for the armrests between the front seats and door panels. The lower halves of the door panels and dashboard also get the same beige-colored theme, which adds a nice contrast to the black finish of the upper halves of both of them.

Then comes the other highlight of the cabin with teak wood inserts. These plastic-made, glossy panels look like actual wooden trims and flow across the dashboard in the middle and on the door panels. As an additional touch of contrast, there are piano black touches for the power window switch panels on the doors and door trims. The steering wheel of the XUV700 has also been given a dual-tone black and beige theme with an artificial leather finish.

New accessories

In addition to these changes, the Mahindra XUV700 also gets Velcro-based flooring mats, which are placed above the original mats and are thicker over them. These mats also get the same diamond theme as that on the seats but are finished in a shade of black and cover the entire floor of the SUV.

Apart from these visual changes on the inside, there are no changes done to the engine and other electronics of the Mahindra XUV700. We would say that these visual tweaks done to the upholstery of the SUV certainly make it look premium and make the already spacious cabin look even airier with the added theme of beige.
