Mahindra XUV700 Black Edition: What it’ll look like

Mahindra recently unveiled their brand new SUV XUV700 to public. Surprisingly, Mahindra also announced the prices for the 5 seater version of the XUV700. We got a chance to drive the all-new Mahindra XUV700 recently and the video and text review of the same is already live on our website. If you want to check out the detailed review of the all-new XUV700, click here. Several videos related to the all-new XUV700 has already surfaced online and here we have a render video that shows how the Black Edition of the SUV might look like.

The video has been published by SRK Designs on their YouTube channel. The video starts with a regular Blue coloured Mahindra XUV700. First thing that artist does is changing the colour. The paint job on the SUV is completely changed to Black from Blue. The black paint on the SUV completely transformed the look of the SUV. It now looks a lot more butch and premium at the same time.

Unlike other cars in the segment, there are not a lot of chrome elements on the Mahindra XUV700. The silver and chrome elements that are present on this SUV have been completely blacked out. The front six slat grille with the new Mahindra logo has also been completely blacked out. Coming to the side profile, Mahindra XUV700 gets 18 inch dual tone alloy wheels. That has been replaced in this render video. It now comes with a all black multi-spoke wheels. The Adrenox branding has been retained on the fender.

All the changes that are made to the SUV are cosmetic and as we move to the rear, the split LED tail lamps in the car have also been slightly smoked. The silver colour faux skid plate on the rear bumper might have also been blacked out. The render does not show how the interiors on the Black Edition XUV700 might look like but, our guess is that the light or beige coloured leather interiors on the SUV would have been completely replaced for all black units.

Mahindra XUV700 is probably the most advanced and feature loaded SUV in the segment. The SUV now comes with features like large panoramic sunroof, Advanced Driver Assistant System, dual 10.25 inch digital screen on the dashboard. One of them works as the instrument cluster while the other is a touchscreen infotainment screen. Mahindra is also offering features like flush door handles, dual zone climate control, electronic parking brake, multi function steering wheel, electrically adjustable driver seat with memory function, premium 12 speaker sound system from Sony, wireless charging and so on.

Mahindra XUV 700 will be offered with two engine options. The petrol version will be powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged unit that generates 200 Ps and 380 Nm of peak torque. The diesel version of the XUV700 will be powered by a 2.2 litre turbocharged engine generating upto 185 Ps and 450 Nm of peak torque. Both petrol and diesel engine options are available with manual and automatic gearbox option and only the diesel verison is currently available with AWD as an option.
