Mahindra XUV700 colour options leaked

Mahindra XUV700 has created a lot of hype around it because of its pricing. The homegrown manufacturer will soon be revealing the full price list and equipment list of the SUV. We recently covered that Mahindra has revealed the 5 colour options of the XUV700. However, there are two more colour options that the manufacturer has not revealed officially and are they expected to get unveiled when the SUV finally launches.

As of now, the colour options known to us are Dazzling Silver, Everest White, Red Rage, Electric Blue and Midnight Black. However, according to Mahindra’s website, there are two more colours named Rave Copper and Galaxy Grey. So, the total number of shades in which the XUV700 will be offered is expected to be seven. Still, there are no dual-tone paint options.

We have seen the Galaxy Grey colour on the new generation of Thar. So, Mahindra might be using the same paint shade for the XUV700 too. Then there is the Rave Copper which we think is the colour in which the first spy shots of the SUV were leaked.

Variants

Recently, the variant list of the XUV700 was also leaked. There will be two series of the XUV700. The MX and AX series. The MX series will be offered only in a 5-seater version. We already know the MX, AX3 and AX5 variants. The leaked reports revealed that XUV700 will be offered in AX3, AX5 and AX7 variants. The AX3 and AX5 will be sold as a 5-seater and a 7-seater. The AX7 variant will be sold only as a 7-seater vehicle. The report also reveals that the all-wheel-drive powertrain will be offered only on the top-end AX7 Diesel AT.

The MX Diesel is priced at Rs. 12.49 lakhs whereas the MX Petrol is priced at Rs. 11.99 lakhs. The AX3 5-seater is priced at Rs. 13.99 lakhs and the AX5 5-seater is priced at Rs. 14.99 lakhs. All the prices are ex-showroom and the prices of AX variants with diesel engines are not yet revealed. According to the latest rumours the prices of the AX7 variant could start from around Rs. 18.5 lakhs ex-showroom and the diesel engine could cost Rs. 1 lakh extra. The all-wheel-drive and automatic transmission will be priced even higher.

Engine and gearbox

The XUV700 will be offered with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. The petrol engine puts out 200 PS of max power and 380 Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine produces 185 PS of max power and a peak torque output of 420 Nm. Both the engines will be offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The top-end diesel engine with an automatic gearbox will also get an option of an all-wheel drive. For the MX variant, the diesel engine will be detuned to produce 155 PS of max power and 360 Nm of peak torque. It will be only offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
