Mahindra unveiled their flagship SUV XUV700 in the market last month. Mahindra had already started the production for XUV700 and now, the SUV has started reaching dealerships. First batch of XUV700 SUVs have started reaching dealerships and the bookings are also expected to start officially soon. Price for XUV700 starts at Rs 11.99 lakh, ex-showroom. Mahindra is expected to announce the price of all variants in coming weeks. The units that have now reached at the dealership are different from the test units that we drove back in Chennai as part of Freedom Drive.
Mahindra image that has surfaced online shows two Mahindra XUV700 SUVs parked at a dealership stockyard. Other Mahindra cars and SUVs can be seen at the rear. They have have a wrap on the panels to avoid minor scratches when it is being transported. The colour spotted at the dealership are Dazzling Silver and Midnight Black.
XUV700 is currently the most technologically advanced SUV from Mahindra. The manufacturer offers long list of features with this SUV. The SUV gets all LED headlamps with twin LED DRLs and dynamic turn indicators. The fog lamps are also LED units and the front gets a massive or prominent grille with vertical slats and new Mahindra logo on it.

Coming to the side profile, XUV700 gets 18 inch alloy wheel, flush door handles, thick cladding on the lower portion of the car to give it a rugged look, roof rails and so on. At the rear, it gets split LED tail lamps, muscular looking bumper, roof mounted spoiler and so on.
Mahindra will be offering XUV700 in two trims. There will MX which is the lower trim and then there is AX which is the higher trim. The transmission option and the number of features on offer change depending up on the trim. Mahindra is expected to offer as many as 28 variants with XUV700. The MX variants will be offered in 5 seat option only. While AX will get both 5 and 7 seater option.
Mahindra XUV700 will offer features like large panoramic sunroof, dual zone climate control, Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), 360 degree camera, multi-function steering wheel, drive modes (for diesel) and many more features. One of the main features on XUV700 is the ADAS which offers several features like Adaptive cruise control, AEB, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, front collision warning and so on.
Mahindra will be offering XUV700 in both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol version is powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged engine that generates 200 Ps and 380 Nm of torque. The diesel version uses a 2.2 litre turbocharged motor that generates 155 Ps and 360 Nm of torque in the lower MX trims. In the AX variants, the same engine generates 185 Ps and 420 Nm of peak torque in manual and 450 Nm of torque in the automatic transmission option. Both petrol and diesel engine options are offered with manual and automatic transmission option and the top-end diesel automatic version is also offered with AWD which is not offered by any other rival in the segment.
