Mahindra has been working on several new models and one of them is the upcoming XUV700 SUV. Mahindra has been teasing us with several videos of the upcoming SUV in the social media and they now have released one more teaser video. In this video, Mahindra is showcasing the first in segment door handles that will be seen on the upcoming XUV700 SUV. Mahindra XUV700 has been spotted testing several times and is expected to be launched in the market later this year. Before the Smart door handles video, Mahindra had teased Booster headlamps and segment’s largest panoramic sunroof.
The video has been shared by Mahindra on XUV700’s official YouTube channel. In this video, Mahindra shows how the door handles on the upcoming Mahindra XUV700 SUV will look like. It will have door handles that will pop out when the car is unlocked. The handles would go in when the car is locked or when in motion. The pop out feature of the door handles is actually a premium feature that is normally seen in high end luxury SUVs. The Smart door handles are actually a segment first feature like many others in the XUV700.

In terms of looks, the all-new XUV700 is expected to have a design that is inspired from XUV500 but, it will be a lot more advanced than its outgoing sibling. The headlamps would be a lot more sharper and will have twin DRLs running down towards the bumper from headlamps. It will also have a bigger front grille and much more muscular looking bumper. Mahindra will also offer new set of alloys, LED tail lamps and redesigned rear bumper in the new XUV700.
The XUV700 will look a lot more premium than any other Mahindra in the segment. It will be based on a revised monocoque chassis and the SUV will be available in both six and seven seater configurations. In terms of dimensions, XUV700 is expected to be slightly bigger than the existing XUV500. Just like on the outside, Mahindra will offer a premium looking interiors with the XUV700.
One of the feature that has been spotted in the test mule several times is the dual screen on the dashboard. One of them is the fully digital instrument cluster while the other is the touchscreen infotainment screen. it is similar to what we have seen in several Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Other than this, Mahindra is expected to offer leather wrapped seats and steering wheel, multi-function steering wheel, cruise control, automatic climate control and it might also get connected car features and voice command feature.
Mahindra might also offer ADAS based safety features with XUV700. The upcoming XUV700 will be available with both petrol and diesel engine option. It will be the most powerful SUV in the segment. The petrol version will be powered by a 2.0 litre mStallion turbocharged unit. The SUV will generate around 200 Bhp. The diesel version will be powered by a 2.2 litre mHawk turbocharged engine that will generate 185 Bhp. Both petrol and diesel engine will be available with manual and automatic gearbox option.
