Mahindra surprised everyone by announcing the prices for the entry level variant of the XUV700 last year. The Mahindra XUV700 is by far the most technologically advanced vehicle built by Mahindra. When launched, it aims to compete with cars like Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus in the variant. Mahindra is expected to reveal the prices for the higher and 7-seater versions in coming month but, before that Mahindra has now revealed all the colour options in which the SUV will be offered.

Mahindra has announced that the SUV will be available in five colour options. There will be Everest White, Electric Blue, Dazzling Silver, Red Rage and Midnight Black shade available with the SUV. Mahindra has already started production of the XUV700 and variant details of the upcoming SUV has also surfaced online.

Mahindra will be offering the XUV700 in MX and AX trims. MX is the lower and the AX is the higher trim. It will be offered with both 5 and 7 seater options. XUV700 will be offered with as many as 28 variants. The lower MX trim will be offered with 5-seater option only. The MX trim will be offered with both petrol and diesel engine options however, it will not get a diesel automatic.
The AX trim gets AX3, AX5, AX7, AX7 C, AX7 L and AX7 T trims. These trims will be offered with both petrol and diesel engine options with both manual and automatic transmission option. Mahindra has packed the XUV700 with features. It comes with dual 10.25 inch screen on the dashboard. One of them acts as a touchscreen infotainment screen while the other is the instrument cluster.
Other features that it offers include all LED headlamps, dual tone alloy wheels, leather wrapped seats, large panoramic sunroof, dual zone climate control, Advanced Driver Assistance System, 360 degree camera, multi-function steering wheel, drive modes (for diesel) and many more premium features including connected car services.
Mahindra XUV700 as mentioned above is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol version of the SUV is powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged engine that generates 200 Ps and 380 Nm of torque. This makes XUV700, the most powerful SUV in the segment. The diesel version is powered by a 2.2 litre turbocharged motor generating 155 Ps and 360 Nm of torque in MX trims. In AX trim, the same engine generates 185 Ps and 420 Nm of peak torque. The automatic version generates 450 Nm of torque.
Both petrol and diesel engine options are available with manual and automatic gearbox options. One of the feature that no other competitor in this segment offers is the AWD system. Mahindra is offering AWD with the top-end diesel automatic version. Bookings and price announcement of the Mahindra XUV700 is likely to start from October 2, 2021.
