Mahindra had started the delivery of their all-new SUV XUV700. Last week, Mahindra had announced that they have received over 65,000 bookings for the SUV and deliveries for the petrol XUV700 will start from 30th October 2021. It looks like Mahindra has now started delivering the car even before that. Picture of the newly delivered Mahindra XUV700 has already surfaced on social media. The customer seen in the picture is from Thane, Maharashtra. The version delivered to the customer in the picture is the top-end AX 7 seater version. According to the report from Team-Bhp Mahindra has commenced deliveries for the new XUV700 across India.
Mahindra had been teasing us with the XUV700 for a very long time and they finally decided to unveil the SUV on 15 August 2021 at a media event in Chennai. Prices Mahindra XUV700 now start at Rs 12.49 lakh, ex-showroom and go up to Rs 22.99 lakh for the top-end Luxury AWD version.
Mahindra XUV700 comes with a bold and premium looking design to the exterior. The car gets all LED headlamps, twin LED DRLs, LED dynamic turn indicators, LED fog lamps and so on. The SUV also gets 18 inch dual tone alloy wheels, flush fitting door handles, arrow head design to the tail lamps, reverse parking camera and sensors.

Just like on the outside, Mahindra XUV700 gets a premium looking cabin. The main attraction is the twin 10.25 inch screen setup. One of them acts a touchscreen infotainment system while the other is the instrument cluster. Mahindra offers several segment first features like dual zone climate control, ADAS features and so on. Under Advanced Driver Assistance System, XUV700 gets features like Adaptive cruise control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure warning and so on.
The SUV also comes with features like multi-function steering wheel, large panoramic sunroof, leather wrapped seats and steering wheel, Electrically adjustable driver seat with memory function, cruise control and so on. The car is available in both 5 and 7 seater options. Unlike rivals, Mahindra does not offer captains seats for second row passenger and ventilated seats with this SUV. These features might get included in the SUV at a later stage.
One of the readers at Team-Bhp had also shared image of a base variant Mahindra XUV700. It looks like the car was parked at a parking lot. The base MX trim of the XUV700 misses out on several features. From what is visible from the pictures, it gets steel rims and fog lamps.
Mahindra XUV700 is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. Deliveries will start for the petrol variants first, followed by diesel next month. The petrol version of the SUV is powered by a 2.0 litre mStallion turbo petrol engine that generates 200 Ps and 380 Nm of peak torque. The diesel version uses a 2.2 litre mHawk turbodiesel engine that generates 155 Ps and 360 Nm of peak torque in lower MX trims and the same engine generates 185 Ps and 420 Nm and 450 Nm torque in manual and automatic versions respectively. Both petrol and diesel engines are offered with manual and automatic transmission options.
