Recently, many actors from the Malayalam film industry have been purchasing new cars and motorcycles. Actor and Director Soubin Shahir is the latest actor from the Malayalam movie industry to buy a new bike, specifically a brand new BMW R 1250 GS Adventure Tourer motorcycle. In fact, he purchased the R 1250 GS Trophy Edition, which was launched in the market last year and costs Rs 23.10 lakh ex-showroom. A video of the actor taking delivery of his new ride has already surfaced online along with some pictures.
The video shows Soubin Shahir walking into the BMW Motorrad dealership in Kochi with his family. After completing the paperwork, the actor unveiled the motorcycle and rode it out of the dealership. The R 1250 GS Adventure motorcycle in the GS Trophy edition looks slightly different from the older versions, mainly due to its paint job. Instead of BMW’s signature White, Red, and Blue combination, this motorcycle features Gravity Blue metallic paint. Additionally, the new paint job includes GS Trophy graphics on the front beak.
Despite these changes, the design of the motorcycle remains largely unchanged. Soubin Shahir can be seen riding the motorcycle in a video that has been shared on Instagram. The R 1250 GS Adventure motorcycle in the video also features some accessories, such as an auxiliary lamp. It seems likely that the actor opted for these accessories from the dealership as a package, which would increase the price of the motorcycle.

This flagship adventure tourer motorcycle comes with features like a 6.5-inch TFT color display or instrument cluster, all-LED headlights, riding modes, ABS Pro, traction control, Hill Start Assist, USB charging sockets, and more. It is powered by a 1,245-cc twin-cylinder engine that generates 136 Ps and 143 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The BMW R 1250 GS motorcycle competes with bikes like the Ducati Multistrada V4, Triumph Tiger 1200, and Harley Davidson Pan America 1250 in the segment.
Recently, Malayalam actress Manju Warrier also purchased a BMW R 1250 GS motorcycle, making her probably the first actress from the Malayalam industry to own an expensive adventure tourer motorcycle like this. The actress recently obtained her two-wheeler license and, just months after getting it, bought the motorcycle. During the shoot of one of her recent Tamil movies, she went on a bike ride with Actor Ajith Kumar, which played a significant role in her decision to buy the motorcycle. Manju Warrier and Ajith Kumar had gone for a bike trip in the mountains last year on the R 1250 GS, and after returning from the trip, Manju Warrier became a huge fan of the motorcycle. Like many actors from the industry, Soubin is also passionate about vehicles and owns cars such as a Volvo XC 90 and a Lexus ES 300h luxury sedan in his garage. The actor also has cars like an older generation W212 Mercedes-Benz E-class luxury sedan, Harley Davidson Street 750 motorcycle and a Volkswagen GTI or the two door Polo. Both E-Class and the Polo GTI that Soubin has in his garage has been customised to his liking.
