Malayalam actor Mohanlal buys a new generation Range Rover SUV worth 4 crore [Video]

Mohanlal is one of the most popular actors in the Malayalam movie industry. The movie star has acted in many South Indian languages and has also appeared in a couple of Hindi movies. Like any other actor from the industry, Mohanlal also owns a decent number of expensive and luxury cars in his garage. He is a person who likes retro and luxury cars. He still has his first car, which was a Hindustan Motors Ambassador, in his garage. Recently, a video of him and his wife taking delivery of their new SUV, the current generation Range Rover, has surfaced online. Mohanlal is probably the first actor from the Malayalam film industry to buy the current generation Range Rover SUV.

The video has been shared by the Mohanlal Fans Club on their YouTube channel. Although the clarity of the video is not the best, we can recognize the actor and his wife in the video. In the video, the actor stands next to the SUV, which is covered with a satin cloth, along with the dealership staff. It looks like they were looking at a camera placed in front of the car. The cloth was lifted, and the car was unveiled.

From the video, it looks like the actor has bought the SUV in champagne gold color, which Land Rover calls Lantau Bronze shade. The registration number of the SUV is not seen in the video. Many of the vehicles in his garage have the number 2255. We have to wait and see whether Mohanlal would go for the same number again or not. After unveiling the car, his friend Antony Perumbavoor, who is also a film producer, can be seen driving the car forward.

According to the reports available online, Mohanlal has bought the 4.4-liter V8 Autobiography variant. This is the LWB version, and the ex-showroom price for the same is around Rs 3.32 crore. The price for the current generation Range Rover SUV starts at Rs 2.39 crore, ex-showroom, and goes up to Rs 4.17 crore, ex-showroom. The SUV that actor Mohanlal bought is powered by a 4.4-liter V8, twin-turbocharged petrol engine that generates 523 Bhp and 750 Nm of peak torque.

This is the flagship SUV from the British car maker, and just like the previous generation Range Rover SUVs, this SUV is also packed with luxury features. It features a 35-speaker Meridian sound system with active noise cancellation that filters out wheel vibrations, tire noise, and engine sounds through a counter-cancelling signal. It also boasts a new 13.1-inch floating infotainment screen and a fully digital instrument cluster. Other features include a Head-Up Display, multi-zone climate control, a four-spoke steering wheel, and a rear seat entertainment screen. For the first time, the Range Rover is being offered with a third-row seat, which is only available with the LWB variant. The SUV is available with both petrol and diesel engine options.

Many Indian celebrities, including Nimrat Kaur and Aditya Roy Kapur, have already purchased the current generation model. One of the recent Bollywood celebs to be spotted with the current generation Range Rover was Malaika Arora. Other than the celebrities, billionaire businessmen Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani also have this luxury SUV in their garage. In fact, Mukesh Ambani has two of these SUVs in his garage along with other luxury cars.
