Mammootty is one of the biggest film stars in the Malayalam movie industry. Moreover, he is an avid auto enthusiast and therefore has a number of swanky cars in his garage. Likewise, his son Dulquer Salman is also a known car nut and the duo maintains what is known as the ‘369 Garage’ in the country. Recently, Mammootty was seen checking out the Jawa Classic motorcycle at a dealership. It is not confirmed if the superstar bought the bike for himself or was just posing with it. The images posted on the Instagram handle nihadnvajid show the actor give a pose while on the bike.
Apparently, Unni Mukundan, who is another popular actor in the Malayalam industry bought a Jawa Classic from the same showroom. It could be that Mammootty accompanied him to the dealership and had a few good shots with the bike. Another image shows both the actors sitting on the bike together, with Mammootty on the front seat and Unni Mukundan riding the pillion.
Talking about the bike, the Jawa Classic is powered by a 293cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that generates a maximum power of 27 Bhp and peak torque of 28 Nm. It gets a 6-speed transmission and the bike delivers fuel efficiency of 37.5 km/l. Prices for the motorcycle start at Rs. 1.64 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the single channel ABS model. The bike also has a twin called the Jawa Forty-Two. Both the Jawa Classic and the Jawa forty-Two have the same configurations and the only difference is in their styling. While the Jawa Classic is closer to the original Jawa bikes of old, the Jawa Forty-two is a more modern looking bike and gets a slightly upmarket design.
The Jawa Classic, as seen in the pictures here, is reminiscent of the old Jawa 250 series bikes. It gets dollops of chrome on it which add a bling factor to the bike and comes with the signature twin pipe cigar shaped silencer pipes. The instrument cluster is built in the headlight casing itself which was the case with the older Jawa bikes while the handlebar is also placed in a similar manner.
Talking about Mammootty and the famed 369 garage, it would be good to see a Jawa motorcycle added to the collection. The 369 garage consists of several high-end cars from various segments like SUVs and luxury sedans to sportscars. Some of the well-known cars in his garage include the Jaguar XJ L, Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Porsche Cayenne S Diesel, Toyota Land Cruiser, Audi A7 Sportback, E46 BMW M3, and a Mini Cooper S among many others. Though both Dulquer and Mammootty are more of car guys, the Jawa would look good on the floor of their garage sharing space with some of these exotic beauties, but only if he buys one.
