The video has been shared by Celespot Media on their Instagram page. In the video, we see a white-colored previous generation Land Rover Defender arriving at the porch of a hotel. The classic SUV with Tamil Nadu registration is the previous generation SUV that was launched by the manufacturer back in 2011. This was actually the model that Land Rover launched before the current version available in the market.

As the Land Rover Defender SUV comes to a stop in front of the hotel, actor Mammootty gets out of the vehicle from the co-passenger side seat. We have rarely seen Mammootty in the co-passenger seat. It looks like the actor had arrived for the promotion of his new movie “Bramayugam”. The actor gets out of the SUV and then walks into the hotel, and that is where the video ends. We ran the registration number of the Land Rover Defender seen here in the video and found that the SUV is actually registered under the name of Dulquer Salman. We all know that Dulquer Salman is one of those actors who has a soft corner for classic cars and SUVs.

Dulquer has several expensive, exotic, and rare cars in his collection. He is one of those persons who likes to buy cars with a bit of history. As per the video, the SUV seen here gets a TD5 engine. This engine was actually introduced in the Defender back in 1998. This was a 2.5-liter, five-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that generated around 122 Bhp. While the post mentions that the SUV is equipped with a TD5 engine, there is no certainty about the same as the SUV seen here is a 2012 model SUV.

The 2012 model Defender came with a 2.2-liter diesel engine. Mammootty and Dulquer Salaman are probably the only actors in the Malayalam film industry to own both the previous generation and the current generation Defender. Mammootty likes modern and tech-loaded things and vehicles, while Dulquer Salman likes classic cars like this Defender. The father-son duo also owns cars like older generation Land Cruisers and Nissan Patrol in their garage.

The latest car bought by Mammootty is a brand-new Mercedes-Benz AMG A45 S hot hatchback in Magma Orange shade. This is the performance version of the A-Class hatchback that was once available in the Indian market. It is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine that generates 415 Bhp and 500 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, and the power is sent to all four wheels. The price for this brand hatchback starts at Rs 92.50 lakh, ex-showroom.
