Mandira Bedi is a very familiar face on television screens and she has established herself as an actress, TV presenter and fashion designer in the past. She recently bought a Tata Nexon EV and has become one of the first celebrities to buy the electric version of Nexon. Pictures of Mandira Bedi and her husband posing with the Nexon was shared by Tata Motors on their twitter account also. The Tata Nexon EV is currently the most affordable EV with a relatively long driving range in the country. It competes with MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona in this segment.

Tata had launched Nexon earlier this year and this quickly became popular because of the attractive price tag. Nexon EV is currently the largest selling electric vehicle in the country. Tata Motors has launchd Nexon EV in three trims – XM, XZ+ and XZ+ Lux. The prices start at Rs 13.99 lakh, ex-showroom to Rs 15.99 lakh, ex-showroom.

From the image shared by Tata Motors on Twitter, it looks like, the celebrity couple has gone for XZ+ trim. In comparison to the top-end XZ+ lux trim, XZ+ misses out on features like electric sunroof and a leatherette interiors. Apart from that everything else remains the same. Nexon EV is powered by a Ziptron technology and uses a 30.2 KwH high capacity lithium ion battery. This generates a maximum of 129 Ps and 245 Nm of torque. Tata Nexon has an ARAI certified maximum driving range of 312 kms and it also supports AC and DC charging.
In terms if looks, the Nexon EV is identical to the regular petrol and diesel engine powered Nexon. The only differentiating factor on the outside is the electric blue accents and EV badging which is only available with the EV. Tata Motors even announced a new subscription model for customers in selected Indian cities.
This subscription program will initially be available for cusotmers from Delhi/NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. This program has been designed in a way to make electric vehicles more accessible to buyers. In this scheme Nexon will be available for an all-inclusive fixed rental starting at Rs 41,900 per month. Subscription is available for 18, 24 and 36 months and the subscription amount varies between 41,990 to 47,900 depending up on the plan. This plan is mainly aimed at corporate users.
