Manish Malhotra buys a brand new Land Rover Range Rover; The Indian fashion designer broke the news by sharing a photo on his Instagram handle; The Luxury SUV is available in a variety of powertrain, wheelbase and seating configurations.
The latest B-Town celeb to bring home a brand-new luxury vehicle is none other than Manish Malhotra. The Ace fashion designer took to his Instagram handle to share a photo of his new ride. The latest addition to the designer’s garage is the Land Rover Range Rover luxury SUV.

Sharing the photo on his official Instagram handle, the fashion designer wrote the caption ‘Auspicious Day’, followed by the ‘Sun’ emoji. Along with this he used the hashtag ‘newcar’ and tagged Land Rover’s authorised retailer Modi Motors in the post. The post consisted of two photos, wherein the first pic Manish Malhotra is seen standing beside his new SUV whereas, in the second photo, he can be seen driving the car. The comments of his friends including fellow Bollywood celebs poured in, congratulating the designer for his new purchase. Sara Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Shilpa Shetty, Ranvijay Singha and Huma Qureshi were amongst the first ones to wish him.
Land Rover Range Rover: Details
Going by the pictures, we cannot comment on the exact model of the Land Rover Range Rover, but the SUV definitely looks smashing in the Pearl White paint scheme. Talking about the details of the SUV, the Range Rover is available in as many as 50 different combinations of model, powertrain, wheelbase and specification packs. Having a look at the SUV’s front fascia, we can make out that this is surely not the Range Rover SV which is the most expensive model sold in India.
In terms of pricing, the Range Rover line-up starts from Rs. 2.38 crore (ex-showroom) for the standard 3.0 litre Diesel and Petrol SE variants and goes all the way up to Rs. 4.17 crore (ex-showroom) for the top rung 4.4 litre Petrol LWB SV trim.
The 50 models mentioned above include 24 trims of standard Range Rover, 12 Autobiography, 9 First Edition and 5 SV variants. The three different body styles in the Range Rover’s line-up are Standard Wheelbase, Long Wheelbase and Long Wheelbase 7 seats. SE and HSE are the two specification packs on the standard Range Rover, while the above-mentioned Autobiography, First Edition and SV are unique in their own way.
Land Rover offers a host of powertrain options with the Range Rover which includes Petrol, Mild Hybrid Petrol, Mild Hybrid Diesel and Petrol Plug-in Hybrid. All the variants get the AWD setup as standard. P510e PHEV and P440e PHEV are petrol plug-in hybrid, D350 MHEV is the diesel mild hybrid, P400 MHEV is the petrol mild hybrid and P530 is the petrol powertrain option.
The P510e PHEV is powered by a 3.0 litre 6-cylinder petrol engine churning out 510 bhp and 700 Nm of peak torque paired to a plug-in hybrid system. P440e PHEV fetches power from the same 3.0 litre 6-pot motor and comes with a lower 440 bhp state of tune with 620 Nm of peak torque. The diesel D350 uses a 3.0 litre 6-cylinder powerhouse paired to a mild hybrid system, belting out 350 bhp and 700 Nm of peak torque. P400 MHEV mild Hybrid produces 400 bhp from the 3.0 litre in-line 6 petrol engine with 550 Nm of peak torque. The most powerful engine of the lot is the P530 4.4 litre V8 Twin Turbo Petrol belting out 530 bhp and 750 Nm of peak torque.
