Maruti Suzuki 800 is one of the most recognised and loved vehicles in India. It has been there for decades before Maruti Suzuki forced it out of production. Still, there are numerous examples of Maruti Suzuki 800 that are still alive on the roads in various forms. While there are many owners who have kept their Maruti Suzuki 800 in pristine condition, just like a new vehicle, there are many others that have been modified to look extreme. Here are four modifications that are done by MAGNETO 11 and one by JS Designs on the Maruti Suzuki 800.
Audi R8 inspired sporty
This humble Maruti Suzuki 800 has been transformed into an Audi R8, well, a mini, copycat R8 to be precise. The modification includes a customised layered bumper at the front and there are as many as 6 projector lamps distributed on either side of the Audi logo. The rear gets a minimalistic look with round lamps and separate housing for the indicators. The modification work has even added faux air vents to replicate the look of the real Audi R8. There are two-seats and an open roof too but these are the only things that resemble an Audi R8 Spyder!
Maruti 800 off-roader
SUVs are fast gaining popularity in India and around the world and there is no reason why a Maruti Suzuki 800 should not be like an off-roader, right? Well, here is an 800 that has been modified to look like an SUV. It gets a seating capacity of 6 with two side-facing benches in the rear. The benches are placed on an open flatbed. The video says that the body of the vehicle was mended and extra strength was added by welding and adding extra metal parts. This was done to ensure that the vehicle becomes stronger and is fit for off-roading terrains. This modification also gets four headlamps at the front and the lid is customised.
Hummer is one real gangster of an SUV and we all know about its popularity around the world. Here is a Maruti Suzuki 800 that has been transformed to look like a Hummer except for the size enhancement treatment. Magneto team has tried to recreate the micro Hummer look by adding Hummer styled grille with two projector lamps. Even the muscular bumper looks quite bold and it is made out of steel. On the sides, you will notice a lot of body flares that have been added to give a wide look to the vehicle. It sure looks like a big toy rather than a real-life Hummer.
Convertibles are not practical of the Indian weather and the dusty conditions. But they do look quite interesting and sporty. Here is a Maruti Suzuki 800 transformed into a convertible in Delhi. This car gets a fibreglass body and it takes about Rs 3.5 lakh to get a vehicle like this. Different parts of this vehicle come from different vehicles like the rear lamps are from Spark while the dashboard is likely from a Nissan Terrano.
Maruti 800 Coupe
The Maruti Suzuki Zen can be called as a hot hatchback of its era but what we see here is an 800 trying to be a coupe. It gets a purple coloured body and it looks like that the body has been fabricated completely. A new swooping roof is also added to the car to add the coupe look. The rear of this car does look good though.
