Maruti Suzuki is a household name in the Indian subcontinent. It made the dream of owning a car come into reality for the emerging middle class in India, back when it was launched. Over the years, depending on the need and demand of the Indian market they diversified into almost all the car segments possible. One such car was the premium hatchback, Baleno and here is one rare Baleno with air suspension.
The Maruti Suzuki Baleno competes with cars like the Hyundai i20, Tata Altroz, Honda Jazz and Volkswagen Polo. Baleno received the same kind of love that Maruti Swift did across all age groups and social statuses. Eventually, people started modifying their Balenos, therefore opening up doors for a lot of aftermarket accessories that can tastefully modify your Baleno to suit your style and needs. Here is one such video of a modified Maruti Suzuki Baleno from Kerala, India.

The video is uploaded on a channel called Motogeek by Jackson on Youtube. Even though we have featured quite a number of modified Balenos from Kerela in the past, this one is special. The reason being, that this Baleno is India’s first Baleno to get air suspensions installed. The video is quite detailed and takes us through each and every modification done to the car. Towards the front, the stock grille has been replaced by an aftermarket grille with a honeycomb design.
The front headlights are also replaced with LED DRLs and lights. The fog lamps on the Baleno are actually projector LED units. The lower grille also has its own LED lights and the bumper gets a front lip that makes the car look extremely sporty. The chrome elements on the original Baleno has also been replaced and there’s a running black and red sporty theme all over the exterior of the car. The side profile of this Baleno gets a sporty RS wrap and what really completes the theme is the 17-inch aftermarket alloy wheels. The main attraction however remains the air suspension.
Work done by N1 Concept
The air suspension work has been done by the N1 Concept Kochi as revealed by the owner. The height of the suspension can be easily controlled with a remote or the switches placed on the centre console. The other elements of the air suspension, such as the compressor are placed inside the boot. The modification work is extremely expensive, and the owner mentions that the air suspensions come with a one year warranty. A side skirt has also been added on the side of the car.
Coming to the rear side of the Baleno, the tail lamps and the rear bumper has been replaced by custom made units. The interiors continue the sport black and red theme all over. The roof of the car gets an all-black liner, and the red colour is spotted on the pillars and the steering wheel. What astonishes us more is that this modified Baleno is powered by diesel. Maruti has discontinued the diesel variant from the market. The diesel variant of Baleno came with a 1.3-litre Fiat-sourced engine.
The engine placed in this Baleno has received a Stage 1+ remap from Code6 and generates a maximum of 105 Bhp and 245 Nm of torque. It also comes with a K&N air filter along with a full system diesel exhaust. The owner clarifies that it’s not a loud exhaust. Overall, we love how neat and sporty this modified Baleno looks.
