Maruti Suzuki recently launched their all-new Baleno premium hatchback in the market. In comparison to the previous generation Baleno, the current version has improved in terms of features. It also looks a lot more matured in terms of design as well. Just like any other brand Maruti also does not offer many features with the lower variants. Aftermarket accessories have started arriving in the market and there are many videos of the Maruti Baleno online where vendors are seen explaining about the new accessories. Here we have a video where a base variant 2022 Baleno has been customised to look like higher variant.
The video has been uploaded by HER GARAGE on YouTube. The video starts with vlogger talking about all the modifications that are done to the car. The Maruti Baleno seen here is the base variant and the owner has opted for several customisation options for his new Baleno. Starting with the front, the car gets aftermarket chrome garnishes on the lower part of the front grille. The owner has also opted for Maruti’s genuine LED fog lamps as the base variant does not get it. The front grille on this Maruti Baleno is a simple looking all black unit.

The workshop owner mentions in the video that the original grille seen in the higher variants of Baleno will soon be made available and will be offered for such lower models. The base variant comes with projector headlamps but, it gets halogen bulbs. This has been replaced with an HID uni. A set of aftermarket LED lights have also been installed in the gap between the headlamps and bonnet. The owner did not installed alloy wheels, instead he got the silver coloured steel rims painted black.
The lower door garnish was installed which is a genuine accessory from Maruti Baleno. Coming to the side profile no other major customisations are visible on the car other than the chrome door handles and door edge guards. As we move to the rear, there are more chrome garnishes. There is a chrome garnish around the reflector LED lamp on the bumper. Maruti Baleno’s chrome applique which looks like a spoiler has been placed on the tailgate. The rear parking camera is integrated inside the bonnet. There is a lower tailgate chrome garnish as well.
After this, the video shows customisations done to the interior. The car gets fabric seat covers from factory. This has been replaced with a custom made leather perforated seat covers. The seats even get Nexa Blue colour stitching to match the overall theme of the car. The steering wheel has been wrapped in leather and Maruti’s original steering mounted controls have also been installed here. The doors get two layer damping for better insulation and premium speakers and tweeters have been installed as well. An aftermarket touchscreen infotainment system has been installed which shows feed from reverse parking camera with guidelines. Maruti Baleno is available with a 1.2 litre DualJet petrol engine that generates 90 Ps and 113 Nm of peak torque. It is available with manual and AMT gearbox option.
