The LDi trim now gets twin airbags and ABS as standard, along with the ISOFIX provision for fitting child seats, reverse parking sensors and a high speed alert warning. The VDi trim also gains twin airbags and ABS as standard, along with ISOFIX mounts and the high speed alert warning light. The ZDi and ZDi+  optional trims get ISOFIX mounts and the high speed alert warning light. Maruti has now added an AMT variant to the VDi and ZDi trims.

The 5 speed AMT option on the Vitara Brezza VDi makes it the least expensive sub-4 meter, automatic compact SUV in India, undercutting the Tata Nexon AMT. All variants of the Vitara Brezza use a 1.3 litre turbocharged diesel engine with 89 Bhp-200 Nm on tap. The manual gearbox is a five speed unit while the automatic variant uses an AMT. All variants of the Vitara Brezza are front wheel driven.

The sub-4 meter compact SUV sells over 10,000 units each month, making it the country’s largest selling SUV across segments. The Brezza is doing such large numbers despite not offering a petrol engine. In the coming months, there’s a chance that the Maruti Brezza will get a petrol engine. That should push up sales even higher. Maruti recently gave the SUV a stylistic makeover, with a new dual tone paint scheme and blacked out alloy wheels.
