SUV is the new hatchback of the automotive industry in India. Almost every manufacturer has launched an SUV in several different segments or is planning to do so. So much is the surge in demand and sales that Tata cancelled their mid-size sedan in favour of an SUV due to the market response. ALong with offering different SUVs in different segments, the manufacturers are also offering handsome discounts this March. If you were planning to get a swanky new SUV this month, here are the SUVs with the highest discount schemes running on them.
Ford EcoSport
Max. Discount: Rs. 40,000
Starting the list is the sub-compact SUV from US auto behemoth Ford Motors. It was among the first compact SUVs to be offered in the market and still commands a decent share of the segment. As for the discounts, it is being offered with a total discount value of Rs. 40,000 this month. The offer includes Rs. 20,000 as direct cash discount along with Rs. 15,000 as exchange bonus. A further Rs 5000 is offered as an exchange bonus upon exchanging your old Ford car.
Maruti Vitara Brezza
Max. Discount: Rs. 70,000
The best selling car in the sub-compact SUV segment is also getting one of the highest discount schemes this month. It is being given away with a total discount of Rs. 70,000 this month. The discount scheme includes a direct cashback of Rs. 15,000 on the fresh stock while the older 2018 stock gets a cashback of Rs. 40,000. Then there is an exchange bonus worth Rs. 25,000 available on the car, which goes down to Rs. 15,000 if the car being exchanged is more than 7 years old. Apart from this, an extra Rs. 5,000 is being offered as a corporate bonus on the SUV this month.
Tata Nexon
Max. Discount: Rs. 40,000
The Tata Nexon is probably the most affordable sub-compact SUV on sale right now, with the base model starting from Rs. 6.36 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). As of now, the car is being offered with a total discount worth Rs. 40,000 by Tata. The discount scheme includes a direct cashback of Rs. 15,000 along with an exchange bonus of Rs. 15,000 on the petrol powered variants. The diesel-powered variants are being offered with an exchange bonus worth Rs. 20,000. Apart from this, Tata is also offering an additional Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 5,000 as corporate discount while Tata Group employees get even better offers.
Mahindra TUV300
Max. Discount: Rs. 54,500
With the launch of the XUV300, Mahindra now has two vehicles in the sub-compact SUV segment. The other being the TUV300, which is running with decent discounts this month. The discount scheme on offer includes a direct cashback worth Rs. 35,000 along with an additional exchange bonus of Rs. 15,000. Apart from this, an additional Rs. 4,500 is being given away as a corporate discount, taking up the total discount value to Rs. 54,500 this month.
Honda BR-V
Max. Discount: Rs. 86,000
The stylish crossover designed Honda BR-V is getting discounts worth approximately Rs. 86,000 this month. The discount scheme on the car includes an exchange bonus worth Rs. 50,000 along with Honda genuine accessories worth Rs. 16,000. The company is also offering a corporate discount for select MNC and government employees. The rest of the discount value is offered as free insurance for the first year.
Maruti Suzuki S-Cross
Max. Discount: Rs. 95,000
Maruti Suzuki’s rival to the likes of the Hyundai Creta and Renault Duster too is running with big discounts this month. The S-Cross is also being offered with a total discount of up to Rs. 95,000. The discount scheme includes a direct cashback of Rs. 15,000 on the new 2019 stock while the older 2018 variant gets a bigger Rs. 60,000 cash discount. An exchange bonus of Rs. 25,000 is also available on the car this month. The total offer is topped by a corporate discount of Rs. 10,000, which takes the discount value to among the highest in this list.
Renault Captur
Max. Discount: Rs. 80,000 plus
The Renault Captur has been selling with big discounts since long. The crossover from the French automaker failed to get traction in the market and is currently running on discounts worth more than Rs. 80,000. However, the discounts are applicable only in the 2018 make model only. The discount scheme includes a direct cashback of Rs. 80,000, which is a pretty large sum for a cashback discount. Apart from this, the company is also offering 0% Interest Rate on 8 Lakh Loan for 2 Years, which further sweetens the deal.
Renault Duster
Max. Discount: Rs. 50,000
Renault is still stuck with 2018 model year Duster SUVs in its inventory. This has resulted in the automaker offering discounts of up to Rs. 50,000 on this compact SUV. First year insurance in free along with a cash discount of Rs. 20,000. Taken together, these discounts add up to Rs. 50,000-60,000 depending on the variant of the Duster opted for.
Mahindra Scorpio
Max. Discount: Rs. 55,000
The good old Scorpio still brings solid sales for the company and that’s the reason it will get a generation update next year. The SUV was first launched in 2002 and was the first sully in house vehicle made by Mahindra. This March, Mahindra is offering discounts on the S5, S9 and S11 variants of the SUV. The discount scheme includes a direct cash discount worth Rs. 25,000 along with an exchange bonus worth Rs. 25,000. Then there is a corporate discount of Rs. 5,000 as well, taking the discount total to Rs. 55,000.
Tata Hexa
Max. Discount: Rs. 50,000
Tata Motors launched the 2019 model of the Hexa last month and it comes with a few tweaks on the outside as well on the inside. The current flagship SUV in Tata’s lineup is being offered with discounts worth Rs. 50,000 this month. The discount scheme includes a direct cashback of Rs. 20,000 along with an exchange bonus of Rs. 25,000. apart from this, Tata is also offering an additional corporate bonus up till Rs. 5,000 on the Hexa right now.
Mahindra XUV500
Max. Discount: Rs. 59,000
Among the top-selling SUVs in its price range, the Mahindra XUV500 offers almost everything one can ask for at its asking price and then some. As of now, the SUV is being offered with discounts up to Rs. 59,000. The discount scheme includes a direct cashback worth Rs. 25,000 apart from an exchange bonus valued at Rs. 25,000. Additionally, the company is also offering a corporate discount of Rs. 9,000 on the car this March. Come 2020 and a new version of the XUV500 will be launched by the company.
Hyundai Tucson
Max Discount: Rs. 75,000 Plus
The current flagship of Hyundai Motors in India is Tucson. It has been waiting for an update since long and sources suggest that a new facelifted version will be launched in the coming months. The SUV is getting discounts worth more than Rs. 75,000 this month. The discount scheme includes an exchange bonus valued at Rs. 50,000 along with an additional Rs. 25,000 available as cashback. The cashback, however, is only available if the car is booked online via HMIL Site using American Express Card. A corporate discount is also available on booking the Tucson this March.
