Maruti CelerioX car – Renault Kwid rival – launched in India

Maruti has launched the much-awaited Celerio X in India at a starting price of Rs. 4.57 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The CelerioX is based on the Celerio hatchback but comes with many visual changes that give it a rugged, sporty look.

The CelerioX gets a different front bumper with new “X” shaped design. The rear bumper is also new and gets heavy cladding and a silver finished faux skid plate. The car also gets body cladding all around, roof rails, a new grille and a new tail lamp design.

New blacked out alloy wheels have been added while on the lower variants, the wheel caps have been painted in black now. With all the new changes the CelerioX looks quite fresh and much more muscular than the regular Celerio. The interiors are now all-black and get white accents to give a sportier and plusher feel.

The engine options remain same as the regular Celerio. It is powered by the 1.0-litre K-Series 3-cylinder petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 67 Bhp and peak torque of 90 Nm. Maruti also offers it with CNG-Petrol bifuel engine option but like the regular Celerio, there is no diesel engine option with the new car too. The car gets a 5-speed manual transmission or 5-speed AMT.

There is drive-side airbag standard across all the variants. The higher variants offer driver seat belt reminder. The passenger side airbag and ABS are offered as an optional equipment across the range.

Maruti offers five colours on the Celerio X. There is the flagship Solid Paprika Orange and other colours like Arctic White, Glistening Grey, Caffeine Brown and Torque Blue.
