Maruti Suzuki is currently leading the market when it comes to CNG powered vehicles. One of their best selling CNG vehicles is the Ertiga CNG. Till now, the Ertiga CNG was offered in three variants, there was VXi, ZXi and Tour M. However, this could soon change. According to Rushlane, Maruti Suzuki could add three more variants that will be called VXi(O), ZXi(O) and Tour M(O).
The new optional variants would offer more equipment than the regular variants. These features could be side airbags for the front occupants and a rear parking camera. It is still not clear what features would Maruti Suzuki will add to the new variants.
The CNG variants of the Ertiga are in huge demand probably because the prices of petrol are quite high in many states and people are looking for alternative sources of fuel. The Ertiga CNG has a waiting period of a massive 40 weeks. One of the reasons behind the long waiting periods is the shortage of semiconductors that have currently hit every manufacturer.
Ertiga prices and variants
The Ertiga starts at Rs. 8.35 lakhs and goes up to Rs. 12.79 lakhs. The CNG is offered on the VXi variant which costs Rs. 10.44 lakhs and the ZXi variant which costs Rs. 11.54 lakhs. All the prices are ex-showroom. The Ertiga comes in four different variants. There is LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+.

It comes mated to only a 5-speed manual gearbox.
