Maruti Suzuki Ertiga VXI neatly modified into a ZXI version

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is one of the popular MOV in India. It currently has no direct competition as it is priced between Renault Triber and Toyota Innova. Maruti Suzuki launched the current generation Ertiga in India couple of years ago and ever since then, the MPV has not received any changes in terms of styling. Maruti also launched a premium MPV based on Ertiga, XL6 and it is sold via Nexa dealerships. Ertiga is sold through Arena dealerships and even that comes with decent list of equipment. Here we have a video, where a VXI model Ertiga MPV is neatly modified into a top-end trim.

The video has been published by VIG AUTO ACCESSORIES on their YouTube channel. In this video, vlogger shows all the changes and modifications that have been made to the MPV. He starts with the interiors. Ertiga comes with fabric seats as standard across all variants. Vlogger and his team has covered those seats with ultra soft seat covers in walnut and black shade. This gives the cabin a premium feel.

VXI model does not come with an armrest for driver. Vlogger tried installing an aftermarket setup but, it was not fitting properly. So, he replaced the whole center console with a unit from ZXI model where it comes with a company fitted armrest. The gear boot cloth and the door pads all got a walnut coloured leather padding.

Apart from this, the door panels and the dashboard now gets a carbon fiber finished plastic panels. An aftermarket touchscreen infotainment screen has also been installed along with multi coloured ambient lights inside the cabin. These lights can be controlled using a mobile application. Damping has been done all the doors and an aftermarket speakers are all installed. The steering wheel on this Ertiga also gets carbon fiber finish.

On the outside, vlogger starts by showing the black alloy wheels. VXI model comes with steel rims and wheel caps. That has been replaced with Maruti Ertiga’s original alloy wheel that is available with higher variants. On the roof, they have installed a body coloured aftermarket luggage carrier. The windows get high infrared heat rejection films and rain visors. There is a chrome lower window garnish and the side cladding is a body coloured unit with chrome garnishes in it.

At the front, the Ertiga now gets LED headlamps and  fog lamps. It also gets an aftermarket LED DRL integrated with the headlamp. fog lamps are projector LED units and there is a chrome garnish around it as well. It also gets a body coloured diffuser at the front bumper with black inserts at places. At the rear, there are LED pillar lamps and LED reflector lamps on the bumper. They have also installed an aftermarket spoiler with LED lights in it. There are chrome garnishes on the boot and a diffuser has also been installed here.  Ertiga seen here in the video is a petrol CNG model. Maruti had discontinued the diesel engine option with Ertiga as part of BS6 transition but, it is expected to come back in the market soon. Overall, the fit and finish and work done on this Maruti Ertiga looks pretty neat.
