Meet the Blue Whale: India’s first fully customized Maruti Suzuki Ignis

The Maruti Suzuki Ignis sits above the WagonR in the company’s model lineup and is probably the most expensive tall boy hatchback in the country. It is a decent seller and gets a rather unconventional design which has an equal amount of admirers and haters. However, in the modification circuits across India, the Ignis is not a car that you would come face to face with often. Enter the Blue Whale, a fully modified Maruti Suzuki Ignis hatchback that looks like a crazy low rider. According to its owner, Vinu Chandran, it is the first fully customized Maruti Ignis in India as well as Asia.

There is absolutely no doubt in the fact that this Ignis looks ravishing. The Blue Whale, as it is named, has been modified by the guys at 360 motoring and 02 Garage. The front end gets a new grille with an anchor logo on it.

The headlamps are aftermarket projector units with corona rings and LED DRLs that makes the car look mesmerizing. The bumper is a custom unit that now extends all the way down to give the car a low rider stance and comes with red LEDs on both the ends. A sleek bumper lip also marks its presence at the front.

The ORVM’s have been blacked out and so have been the pillars. The fenders have been flared to give the car a beefier stance as well as accommodate those fat wheels. Talking about which, the Blue Whale rides on gorgeous looking aftermarket 16-inch rims from BBS. The rims have been shod on with low profile tires that further compliment the car’s lowrider look. Side skirts have been added too in order to maintain the sporty aesthetics of the car.

The roof gets custom roof rails which add practicality to this otherwise ludicrous looking car. The rear end is no bummer either and gets a custom diffuser along with aftermarket LED tail lights which make it look gorgeous, to say the least. Dual exhaust tips have been added on either side of the diffuser which again adds to the overall look of the car. Finished in a shade of blue, the Blue Whale is certainly one of its kind here and the hottest tall boy hatchback on this side of the globe.

The interiors of the Blue Whale have also been updated and get a custom interior colour to spice things up. Apart from this, new sporty seats have replaced the stock seats of the car and a sporty tachometer has been attached to give the sporty vibes when driving. This Ignis then, folks, is now a desirable hatchback and looks so good that we doubt if it’s an Ignis at all.
