Indian automaker Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has launched an upgraded version of its Light Commercial Vehicle, the Super Carry, which promises superior quality and performance. The new model features Maruti Suzuki’s 1.2L Advanced K-Series Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine, with a four-cylinder engine that delivers improved performance, including a max power of 59.4kW (80.7PS) @ 6000rpm and 104.4Nm of max torque @ 2900rpm in the petrol model. The vehicle is also equipped with an upgraded five-speed manual transmission that allows for improved gradeability, enabling customers to drive up steeper gradients.
“The Super Carry, built for the unique requirements of the Indian mini-truck customer, has been accepted well in the commercial vehicle segment with more than 1.5 lakh units sold since its launch in 2016. In addition to the petrol model, Maruti Suzuki has introduced a new CNG Cab Chassis variant with the launch of the new Super Carry. The mini-truck is also available in CNG Deck, Gasoline Deck, and Gasoline Cab Chassis variants.
The Super Carry boasts a range of safety features, including front disc brakes, reverse parking sensors, seat belt reminders, and a new engine immobilizer system. The vehicle’s driving comfort is enhanced with a larger steering wheel with lighter operation, improving maneuverability, smooth gear shifts, and ride comfort.
The Super Carry’s spacious interiors feature a flat seat design for overall driving comfort and intermittent breaks. The Super Carry S-CNG variant also offers a unique feature of a 5L emergency petrol tank, providing peace of mind to customers.
The versatile mini-truck is sold exclusively through Maruti Suzuki’s 370+ commercial outlets, covering 270+ cities. It is used across multiple applications, including e-commerce, courier, FMCG, and goods distribution, among others.
