The festive season of 2023 has arrived, and with its arrival, a ton of automotive manufacturers are starting to offer great deals and discounts. The country’s largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, is now also offering very lucrative offers and discounts for its newest off-road SUV, the Jimny. It has been reported that the company is offering benefits and discounts totaling up to Rs 1 lakh on the Jimny.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny offers
According to Autocar India, Maruti Suzuki is offering a massive Rs 50,000 flat discount on the base Zeta variant of the Jimny 4X4 SUV. Apart from this, additional benefits worth Rs 50,000, which can be had as an exchange or loyalty bonus, can be availed. These offers are being provided by all the Maruti Suzuki Nexa dealerships across India and will be available until the end of this month. Apart from this, both the manual and petrol variants of the Jimny Zeta variant are available with these offers.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny Variants Pricing
Maruti Suzuki offers the Jimny in two variants in India – the Alpha and the Zeta. Both the models come with the same K15B naturally aspirated petrol engine. This powerplant is capable of producing 104 PS of maximum power and 134.2 Nm of torque. This powertrain comes available with 5-Speed manual and 4-Speed automatic transmission options in both Zeta and Alpha variants.
Currently, the Zeta variant with the manual transmission is priced at Rs 12.74 lakh. Meanwhile, the Zeta variant with an automatic transmission is priced at Rs 13.94 lakh. The Alpha variant, on the other hand, is priced at Rs 13.69 lakh for the manual variant and Rs 14.89 lakh for the automatic variant. Additionally, the Alpha variant is offered in Dual-tone manual and Dual-tone automatic variants as well, which cost Rs 13.85 lakh and Rs 15.05 lakh.
Jimny Zeta Variant Features
In terms of features, the Jimny’s base Zeta variant misses out on a lot of features that come available with the Alpha variant. The Zeta variant comes equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system instead of the 9-inch touchscreen on the top model. It gets manual AC controls, no start-stop button, no projector headlights on the front, and no headlight washer assembly. The Zeta variant also misses out on the gunmetal grey alloy wheels; instead, it gets 15-inch steel wheels. The front bumper also does not get fog lights.
Does this discount make Jimny Zeta a better value-for-money variant?
The Jimny’s price was one of the disappointments for a lot of off-roading enthusiasts. However, it seems like with this new discount, the base Jimny Zeta variant has become a value-for-money deal. The reason behind this is that a ton of people are buying the Jimny to modify it to make it a more efficient off-roader. People are adding bigger tires, off-road-specific alloy wheels, lift kits, new grilles, and a ton of other accessories. So with this new discount and offer, it makes a lot of sense for off-road enthusiasts to buy a Jimny and create their own bespoke off-road vehicle.
