Maruti launches WagonR VXi+

Maruti WaonR, one of the Maruti’s top selling car gets a new top-of-the-line variant of the tallboy, in form of VXi+. The new variant itself come in four different versions, namely VXi+, VXi+ (O), VXi+ AGS, VXi+ AGS(O). The prices start from Rs. 4.69 lakh and go up to Rs. 5.36 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The new variant of the WagonR looks like the updated Stingray, a variant of WagonR that was launched as a premium version of WagonR. The new variant gets an array of new features on the inside and the outside. The exterior gets a stylish thick chrome grille that get nicely integrated with the headlamps of the car, giving an impression that the whole unit is a same element. The bumper has been updated to a bigger one and it gets four horizontal slat grille. There are also round fog lamps encased in plastic cladding.

There are also new alloy wheels on the side. The car also gets side skirts but the overall tallboy design remains the same. On the rear, the car remains the same but comes with new tail-lamp unit and a roof mounted spoiler.

On the inside, the new WagonR gets dual-tone black and beige dashboard, premium looking beige upholstery along with piano black finish panels. The car also gets a longer equipment list with standard dual airbags, anti-lock braking system with electronic brake force distribution system as an optional feature.

Mechanically, the car remains unchanged. The car is powered by the same 1.0-litre, three cylinder engine that develops a maximum of 67 BHP and 90 Nm of peak torque. There is 5-speed manual or 5-speed AGS transmission to choose from. Maruti is working to replace the WagonR with an all-new model very soon.
