Maruti Suzuki started accepting bookings for the car right after Auto Expo 2023 for a token amount of Rs. 11,000, which later increased to Rs. 25,000. Over 23,500 bookings have been received till date and it is expected to launch soon in India.
The small offroader has already reached many dealerships, and people are visiting showrooms to check out the Jimny. Test drives have not started so far, however. Maruti Fronx, whose bookings were also announced alongside the Jimny has lagged behind Jimny in numbers so far – but that might change when test drives begin.
It is expected to start production in April 2023, and sales should begin in May 2023.
