Maruti Suzuki is India’s largest car manufacturer and they have a variety of products in their lineup. Alto 800 is Maruti Suzuki’s entry level product and it is quite a popular choice among Indian buyers. Overs the years, Maruti has made several cosmetic changes to the Alto to keep it fresh. It is a small family car that is suitable for city and highway drives. It is not the best vehicle when it comes to modifications but, we still have seen some examples from different parts of the country. Here we have a render video where the artist modifies Alto 800 into a sporty little hatchback.
The video has been uploaded by SRK Designs on their YouTube channel. The artist modifies this small hatchback completely to give it a sporty look. He starts by reducing the ground clearance of the Alto 800. The car is lowered and that changes the overall stance of the car instantly. He then removes the stock steel rims and replaces it with aftermarket alloy wheels and wider tyres. Just this modification itself changed the look of the hatchback.
Then moves to the front of the car. The front grille, headlamps and the lower grille are all removed. The headlight is now a completely blacked out unit with a single projector lamp and LED DRLs. The front grille has also been replaced for an aftermarket unit and that changes and that is giving it a sporty character. Moving to the lower grille, it now gets honey comb design mesh and the bumper now comes with LED fog lamps which were not present before. Artist also added a roof mounted spoiler and removed the radio antenna from the roof as well.
Other modification on this Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 hatchback is the side skirts that give it a bit more lowered look. It is still a 4-door hatchback and pillars and ORVMs are painted in black. One of the main attraction on this Alto 800 is the paint job. It gets an Orange and grey dual tone paint job which gives it a sporty look. The front end has grey paint job and it smoothly blends with Orange shade as it goes to the rear. The front bumper gets Orange highlights as well.
Maruti Suzuki launched the Alto in the market almost two decades ago. It was introduced in the market as a replacement to the iconic Maruti 800. In these twenty years that Maruti Alto was in sale, a lot has changed. Maruti sold over 40 lakh units of Maruti Alto in the Indian market. The Alto 800 which is currently available for sale is powered by a 796-cc, three-cylinder, petrol engine that generates 48 Bhp and 69 Nm of torque. It is available with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard.
Maruti Suzuki Alto is available with petrol and CNG fuel options. Maruti also used to sell a K10 version of Alto. It was a lot more fun to drive and also came with an AMT gearbox option. The render however looks quite sporty and it is safe to say that artist did a great job in converting a regular looking small hatchback into a sporty one.
