Maruti Suzuki has just launched the facelifted Alto K10 with an AMT option in India. Apart from a new design, revised interiors, and the AMT option, the facelifted Alto K10 also gains CNG and airbag options. The car is available in six variants with “introductory” prices starting from 3.06 lakh rupees, ex-showroom Delhi. Bookings of the Alto K10 Facelift are already open at Maruti Suzuki showrooms across the country. Deliveries will begin right from today. Variants wise, ex-showroom Delhi pricing of the Alto K10 Facelift is as follows, LX – 3.06 lakh rupees, LXi – 3.22 lakh rupees, LXi CNG – 3.82 lakh rupees, VXi – 3.38 lakh rupees, VXi (O) – 3.57 lakh rupees and VXi AMT – 3.80 lakh rupees. Note – These prices are introductory and are likely to see an upward revision in the coming months. The Alto K10 Facelift is powered by a 1 liter-3 cylinder K-Series petrol engine in naturally aspirated guise. This revvy 3 cylinder motor makes 67 Bhp of peak power and 90 Nm of peak torque on petrol power. On the facelifted Alto K10, Maruti Suzuki has managed to improve the fuel efficiency of the 1 liter, K-Series engine further, to make for a 24.07 Kmpl ARAI certified mileage figure on both manual and automatic variants. In CNG guise, the Maruti Alto K10 Facelift’s fuel efficiency is ARAI rated at 32.26 Kms/Kg. The Alto K10 Facelift gains a steering wheel mounted airbag as a passive safety feature on the top-end VXi (O) variant, which also packs in power windows, front fog lamps, remote locking and a factory fitted stereo that supports CD, USB, Bluetooth and Aux. The automated manual transmission, borrowed from the Celerio, eliminates the manual clutch, and automates gear shifting. The AMT option is available only on the VXi variant of the car. The CNG variant of the Alto K10, available only with the LXi variant, gets minor power and torque drops, to 58 Bhp and 77 Nm respectively. The Alto K10 AMT is the world’s least priced automatic car, and is also the most fuel efficient automatic car in India. The Alto K10 Facelift is shorter than the outgoing model with a length of 1,595 mm (1,620 mm) but is wider at 1,490 mm (1,475 mm). While wheelbase and ground clearance are retained at 2,360 mm and 160 mm, the car 15 kilograms lighter than the pre-facelift model.
