The all-new Celerio will utilise the HEARTECT platform that underpins the likes of Baleno, Swift and many other Maruti Suzuki cars in India. The second-generation Celerio is made from grounds-up, which means the design of the all-new car will be different from the current generation of the car.
The all-new Celerio will be bigger in dimensions, which will also translate into a roomier cabin. However, spy images of the car indicate that the vehicle will get a rounded and flowing design instead of the squarish design of the current model.

Maruti Suzuki to offer two engines
Maruti Suzuki will offer two engine options with the all-new Celerio. While the details are not confirmed, Maruti Suzuki will use the 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.0-litre three-cylinder K10C engine with the upcoming car.
Both the engine options will come with a five-speed manual transmission and an AMT. ACI claims that the Maruti Suzuki Celerio will become the most fuel-efficient car in the Indian market. The manufacturer will use the DualJet technology from Baleno in the K10C engine to make it even more fuel-efficient.
The DualJet system uses two fuel injectors per cylinder that allows more precise control over the fuelling. The engine also gets an improved gas recirculation system that increases the overall fuel efficiency. The new Maruti Suzuki Celerio will deliver around 26 km/l to become the most fuel-efficient hatchback in India. Currently, the Tata Tiago AMT is the most fuel-efficient car with 23.84 km/l as official ARAI tested efficiency.
Cabin changes as well?
The all-new Maruti Suzuki will come with cabin changes as well. The tall boy design will allow a lot of headroom in the vehicle. We will also get to see a new dashboard with new vents. The steering wheel will be a three-spoke unit. The car will come with a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Maruti Suzuki also plans to launch the all-new Jimny in the Indian market sometime in the next year. However, the manufacturer is yet to announce the launch of the car officially.
