Maruti Suzuki Dzire facelift launched

Maruti Suzuki has launched the new facelifted version of the Dzire in the Indian market. The new Dzire gets a host of updates and the new K-Series Dual Jet petrol engine too. The new Dzire now offers a different and updated front-end that keeps in fresh in the market. It also receives a set of new features. The new features include a new coloured TFT driver information display and cruise control system. It is also more powerful and more fuel-efficient than the last version of the car.

The new facelifted Dzire is priced from Rs 5.89 lakhs while the top-end version of the car is now priced at Rs 8.80 lakhs, ex-showroom. It is available in seven variants with AMT automatic transmission as an optional unit starting from the mid-level variant. The prices of the car have increased marginally with the update for the base variant.

Maruti Suzuki has launched the facelifted version with a new front-end. The car now offers a single grille that has become much larger in size than the previous version. The new Dzire also gets a new bumper while the front bumper has been updated with revised fog lamps. The headlamps remain the same and the elements inside also remain identical to the outgoing version of the car. The other changes on the outside include new two-tone alloy wheels on the top-end version.

The new Dzire now offers a more powerful engine. It gets the 1.2-litre Dual Jet petrol engine that also powers the Maruti Suzuki Baleno and the Toyota Glanza in the Indian market. The engine produces a maximum power of 90 PS of maximum power. The Dzire gets both manual and AMT automatic transmission options. With the manual transmission, the Dzire now returns a maximum of 23.26 km/l and 24.12 km/l with the AMT or AGS variants. The automatic variants of the Dzire return more fuel efficiency than the petrol variants according to the ARAI certification. It is much higher than the 21.21 km/l, which the outgoing Dzire offered with the petrol variants.

On the inside, the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire gets a slightly tweaked colour scheme on the dashboard. It also gets the new coloured 4.2-inch driver information screen that can be used to monitor various information. The car also gets the new 7.0-inch Smartplay Studio touchscreen infotainment. The new Dzire also offers electronic stability program and hill-hold function as standard across the AGS variants. All the other variants get the ABS+EBD, dual- airbags as standard.
