A few days ago, Maruti Suzuki announced a ‘Black Edition’ of all its cars sold under its Arena channel, ranging from the Alto K10 to the Brezza. In this newly launched ‘Black Edition,’ all the Maruti Suzuki offerings will be offered with a Midnight Black paint scheme in select variants. The Black Edition of all models is gradually reaching authorized dealer outlets, and the latest vehicle to be added to the list is the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.
The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Black Edition was recently spotted at one of the authorized dealer outlets of the carmaker. The variant of the Ertiga in question is the top-spec ZXI+, which comes loaded with all the bells and whistles. Apart from the exclusive Midnight Black color option, the Black Edition of the Ertiga doesn’t come with any other changes to its exterior and interior. It even retains the dual-tone black and beige cabin with faux wood inserts from the standard version of the Ertiga.

Black Edition launched for all the models
Maruti Suzuki has launched the Black Edition for all its cars. In the Ertiga, this new version will be available only in the top-spec ZXI and ZXI+ variants. Maruti Suzuki has made no changes to the list of features for the Black Edition. In this top-spec ZXI+ variant, the Ertiga continues to come loaded with features like halogen projector headlamps, 15-inch machined alloy wheels, and LED tail lamps on the outside. The cabin continues to come with a 7-inch Smartplay Pro infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a push start-stop button, auto AC with rear AC vents, a multifunctional steering wheel, and cruise control.
Like the standard version, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Black Edition will be available only with the 1.5-liter four-cylinder K15C Dualjet petrol engine. Available with both 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions in the Black Edition, this engine claims 103 PS of power and 136.8 Nm of torque. The Black Edition will also be on offer with the CNG powertrain in the ZXI variant, which claims 88 PS and 121.5 Nm of torque and is offered only with the 5-speed manual gearbox.
Maruti Suzuki also offers the Black Edition for the entire lineup of its NEXA sales channel, including Ignis, Baleno, Ciaz, XL6, and Grand Vitara. However, the soon-to-be-launched Fronx and Jimny SUVs will not be offered with the Black Edition versions, at least for the time being. The Black Edition carries no extra charges over the other colors on sale.
