Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Limited Edition re-launched in India

Maruti Suzuki has just re-launched the Ertiga Limited Edition in India. The Ertiga Limited Edition is based on the mid trim, and is available with both petrol and diesel engines. The petrol-powered variant is priced at Rs. 7.80 lakhs and the diesel powered variant at Rs. 9.71 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi. The arrival of the Limited Edition Ertiga suggests that Maruti is close to bringing the all-new, 2018 Ertiga to India. This is because car makers generally launch limited edition versions of existing cars to clear stock, ahead of an all-new model launch. The all-new, 2nd generation Ertiga was unveiled recently in Indonesia. It’s likely to be launched in India by this year’s festive season.

Coming to the changes on the Ertiga Limited Edition compared to the regular model, the MPV now gets revised alloy  wheels, a rear spoiler, chromed fog lamp trims, side mouldings and ‘Limited Edition’ badges. The Limited Edition model is available in three colours: Exquisite Maroon, Superior White and Silky Silver. On the inside, the MPV gains all-black interiors, faux wood trim around the centre console and door panels, maroon seat covers and a dual tone steering cover. Mechanically, the Ertiga Limited Edition model remains unchanged. The petrol engine is the 1.4-litre K-Series unit with 91 Bhp-130 Nm outputs.

This engine gets a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard while a 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox is offered as an option. The diesel engine is the 1.3-litre Fiat Multijet unit with a variable geometry turbocharger. Outputs of this engine are rated at 89 Bhp and 200 Nm. A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard. The Ertiga is a front wheel driven, monocoque bodied MPV that shares its platform with the previous generation Maruti Swift. The all-new model, which will be launched soon, gets a total revamp. From new styling, larger dimensions, more powerful engine options and new features, the all-new Ertiga promises to be a big step up from the current model.
