Maruti Suzuki Fronx arrives at NEXA dealership ahead of official launch

One of the latest releases from Maruti Suzuki India Limited – the crossover Fronx even before its official launch has garnered a ton of interest in the country. The model has been in talks for months now and finally, it has been reported that it has started arriving at company dealerships. Recently a small video of the car getting unloaded from a transport truck has surfaced on the internet. The video shows the model from the rear. The video also shows small snippets of the model driving and in a showroom.

The video of the Fronx getting unloaded from the truck has been uploaded on YouTube by Real Gaadi on their channel. The video starts with a small snippet of the truck carrier that is filled with Maruti Suzuki Baleno hatchbacks. Following this, the door of the carrier opens and after unloading the Balenos a White Fronx is shown in the video in the video.

For some reason after this part there is no video of the Fronx moving rather there are only a few pictures that show the car on road. After this sequence of pictures, there is a small video of another White Fronx at a toll gate and in this small video the rear LED light of the car can be seen glowing and the car is moving. Following this another Fronx is shown in the video and this one is finished in the shade of Earthen Brown and it is standing at dealerships floor.

Fronx launch date

As of yet, the company has not announced the official launch date of Fronx but it believed that the crossover will be making its official debut sometime in April of this year. As for the car itself, the model is an ambitious offering from the brand. It is one of the most unique products that has been shown by Maruti Suzuki in recent years.

Maruti Suzuki just like all its other cars will be offering the Fronx with only petrol engine options.  A 1.0 litre BoosterJet petrol engine and a 1.2 litre normally aspirated engine will be available. With the Fronx, the 1.0-liter BoosterJet engine will be making a reappearance. It used to be offered in the Boleno RS until it was discontinued. The 1.0 litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine produces a maximum torque of 147 Nm and 100 Ps. Both a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission and a 5-speed manual transmission will be available with this engine.

Furthermore, the other engine option that will be offered with the Fronx will be the brands tried and tested 1.2 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. This petrol mill delivers a maximum of 89 Ps and 113 Nm of peak torque. Both a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT will be available with this engine choice.
