The Maruti Suzuki Fronx, which was recently launched, aims to compete with the entire range of sub-four-metre compact SUVs, including its sibling, the Brezza, from the same carmaker. The prices of the all-new Fronx have been released, and they more or less overlap with those of the Brezza. This video compares the base-spec Brezza LXI and mid-spec Fronx Delta+ that are priced almost similarly.
In the YouTube video uploaded by Anubhav Chauhan, both the popular variants of Maruti Suzuki’s sub-four metre compact SUV offerings can be seen. The Maruti Suzuki Brezza LXI is priced at Rs 8.29 lakh, while the Maruti Suzuki Fronx Delta+ carries a price tag of Rs 8.73 lakh. What’s different on the outside?
Starting with the exterior, both the SUVs have a chrome garnish for the grille and silver skid plate in the front bumper. However, the Brezza LXI comes with a halogen projector for the headlamp, while the Fronx Delta+ comes equipped with all-LED headlamps. The Fronx Delta+ looks more premium with dual-functioning LED daytime running LEDs, which also perform as turn indicators, whereas the Brezza LXI has conventional halogen turn indicators. Moving on to the side profile, both the SUVs come with body-coloured door handles and rearview mirrors, and electrically adjustable rearview mirrors. Additionally, the Fronx Delta+ has electrical foldability for the rearview mirrors, which have to be folded manually in the case of Brezza LXI. The Fronx Delta+ has also been equipped with 15-inch black alloy wheels, whereas the Brezza LXI comes with 16-inch steel wheels. Both SUVs are adorned with tail lamps with LED inserts and reverse parking sensors.
The differences between the variants of both these SUVs are more evident on the inside, with the Brezza LXI appearing much more basic in comparison to the Fronx Delta+. The Fronx Delta+ comes equipped with additional features that are absent in the Brezza LXI, such as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, and steering-mounted audio and Bluetooth controls. However, both the SUVs have tilt adjustability for the steering wheel, all-four power windows, dual front airbags, and ABS with EBD.
Major differences under the hood

The major difference between the two SUVs lies beneath their bonnet. The Brezza LXI comes with a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine that produces 103 PS of maximum power and 136.8 Nm of maximum torque. On the other hand, the Fronx Delta+ has a 1.2-litre four-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine capable of delivering 90 PS of maximum power and 113 Nm of maximum torque. Both variants have a 5-speed manual gearbox, but the Fronx Delta+ is also offered with a 5-speed AMT gearbox.
The Fronx Delta+ is also available with a more powerful 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which produces 100 PS of power and 147 Nm of torque. However, the Fronx Delta+ is significantly more expensive than the Brezza LXI with this engine.
