The base Sigma variant of Grand Vitara is priced at Rs. 10.45 lakh (ex-showroom); Only offered in the Mild-Hybrid MT powertrain, here is the first delivery video of the SUV’s one of the most value-for-money, base Sigma trim.
Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is offered in a total of 6 variants, namely Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Alpha, Zeta+ and Alpha+. The first four variants come with a mild-hybrid powertrain, while the latter two are offered with strong hybrid technology. The range starts from the base Sigma variant; priced at Rs. 10.45 lakhs, it is one of the most value-for-money variant in the Grand Vitara’s line-up. As the deliveries of the mid-size SUV have already begun, here is the first delivery video of the base Sigma trim by ‘DSD Cars’.

The presenter claims that this is the first delivery of the Grand Vitara Sigma trim in Gurgaon. As per the owner, the SUV costed him Rs. 12.24 lakh (on-road) in Gurgaon, Haryana. The total cost includes the vehicle’s ex-showroom price (Rs. 10.45 lakh), Insurance (Rs. 45,631), RTO Charges (Rs. 78,490), 1% TCS (Rs. 10,450), Extended Warranty (Rs. 17,759) and Basic Kit (Rs. 22,500) amongst others. After analysing the entire variant line-up of Grand Vitara, he found the Sigma trim to be the most value-for-money option for him, says the owner. When asked about his views of the cabin space, the owner said that he liked the overall space inside the cabin and it is well suited to his height.
Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara: Base Sigma Variant Equipment Details
At just over the 10 lakh mark, Grand Vitara has a lot to offer in terms of equipment. Starting with the exterior styling, it looks nearly identical to the top trims, all thanks to the standard styling kit offered by Maruti Suzuki. Upfront it gets LED DRLs, halogen projector headlamps, piano black front grille accompanied by chrome elements. Towards the sides, the base trim offers the same wheel size with 215-section rubber, however, the alloy wheels are replaced by steel rims. At the rear, it gets the slim horizontal LED tail lamps, subtle roof spoiler, shark fin antenna, and silver skid plate, while the rear wiper is the only missing feature from the top trims.
The features on the sigma variant include keyless entry, push-button start, electrically foldable and adjustable ORVMs, all four power windows, dual-tone interior theme, coloured digital MID, automatic climate control AC, rear armrest, tilt and telescopic steering adjustment, front and rear armrest, 60:40 split rear seat with a recline function and more. The Grand Vitara comes kitted with a host of standard safety features such as dual front airbags, all four disc brakes, rear parking sensors, ESP (Electronic Stability Program), Hill Hold Control, ABS with EBD, Front seat belt pre-tensioner with Force Limiter, Front seat belt height adjustment, seat belt reminder, ISOFIX Child Seat mounts and manual day/night IRVM amongst other.
