The latest entrant in the mid-size SUV segment from Maruti Suzuki is the all-new Grand Vitara. The SUV was launched on September 26 and the Japanese owner brand managed to sell around 5000 units in the first 5 days. Earlier we reported the delivery of the Sigma base variant of the mid-size SUV, which is one of the most value-for-money trims in the line-up.

Now as we all know that the base variant misses out on a few necessary features such as alloy wheels, an infotainment system, a 360-degree parking camera and more. So the owners of this variant are bound to get these features retrofitted from the after-market accessories shops. So today we have come across one such YouTube video by ‘Rohit Mehta Sai Auto Accessories’, where the base trim is loaded with some necessary equipment.

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Sigma Variant: Modifications

The video highlights the two major modifications of the Grand Vitara. The first one is the 17-inch dual-tone precision cut OEM alloy wheels which the company offers in the top-spec variants. For reference, the base Sigma and Delta trims come with steel wheels with full-wheel caps. The tyre size of 215/60 R17 remains the same throughout the entire line-up. The second major modification in the Grand Vitara base variant is the addition of an after-market 360-degree parking camera. As the base variant also misses out on an ICE (In Car Entertainment) system, a 9-inch Android-based infotainment system has also been added. The unit comes with 4GB RAM and the presenter claims that only this variant can support the 360-degree parking camera. Further, the base variant only gets 2 speakers fitted on the front doors and the modifier has installed two sets of component speakers in the SUV.

Towards the end of the video, the presenter showcases the working of the 360-degree parking camera along with explaining various functions of the infotainment system. The clarity and response of the after-market 360-degree parking camera is satisfactory, to say the least.

Other important modifications carried out in the SUV include a high-performance sun control film, vinyl black wrap on the window line, HID (High-Density Discharge) kit in the headlamps and more.
