Today, IGNIS has changed the way customers look at the premium compact segmentIGNIS has established itself as a complete package for those who seek the unconventional. Taking passenger safety to next level, we have loaded IGNIS with more safety features. These will be offered as standard across all variants. To enhance the design of IGNIS and give it a strong road presence, new roof rails are offered in Zeta and Alpha variants. We are confident that the updated version of IGNIS will be even more attractive for the premium urban car user.”

The 2019 Ignis gets powered by the same 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 82 Bhp and a peak torque of 113 Nm. It receives both manual and Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) as an option. Maruti Suzuki has discontinued the diesel engine in the Ignis due to the low popularity and upcoming BS-VI norms in 2020. The Ignis is offered in three automatic transmission options giving a wider range of choice to the customers. The Ignis takes on the cars like Hyundai Santro and is sold through the premium Nexa dealership network of the brand.
