The variant is the base version of the Ignis that does not get as many features as the top-end version. However, with this X10 kit, customers will now be able to decently upgrade their vehicle at an affordable cost. The report mentions that the kit is only available at a few dealerships in Delhi and NCR. It seems to be a dealer-level offer. Since the festive season will soon arrive in India, the car sales see a jump. To attract more customers, such a deal can be quite effective.
Even though the Ignis Sigma is the base variant of the car, it offers features like front power windows, power steering, climate control system, steel rims, body-coloured ORVMs and door handles and more. Apart from the mandatory features like ABS+EBD, speed warning, rear parking sensors, the Ignis Sigma comes with dual front airbags, speed-sensing door locks and impact sensing door unlocking system.
The Ignis comes powered by a 1.2-litre, naturally aspirated K-Series petrol engine. The engine produces a maximum power of 83 PS and peak torque of 113 Nm. It gets a choice between 5-speed manual transmission or AMT automatic transmission. Maruti Suzuki has discontinued the diesel engines in its line-up. Recently, the brand launched the new S-Cross petrol, which gets a petrol engine and an automatic transmission for the first time ever.
