India’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki has a variety of products in their line-up. They have premium products that are exclusively sold via Nexa chain of dealerships and all the other models are sold via Arena. One of the models that Maruti sells via Nexa is XL6. It is a 6-seater MPV which is actually based on the Ertiga MPV which is sold via Arena. Maruti made several cosmetic changes to the car to make it looks more premium than Ertiga. It is available in the international market as well. Maruti Suzuki has now released a new TVC for the Maruti XL6.
The video has been shared by Nexa Experience on their YouTube channel. The video revolves around the comfort factor of the Maruti XL6. It tried to portray how comfortable the occupants in the XL6 actually feel. Maruti had launched XL6 MPV in the market in 2019 and is based on the current generation Ertiga. A detailed review of both current generation Ertiga and XL6 are available on our website and YouTube channel, in case you are interested.

As mentioned above, Maruti has made some cosmetic changes to the Ertiga to make it look more premium. The changes also distinguish Ertiga from XL6. The front gets a premium looking front grille with a thick chrome strip running horizontally across the grille. The chrome strips joins the LED DRLs integrated in the headlamps. The headlamps are all LED. Bumper looks a lot more muscular and thick black cladding is seen all around the car.
The XL6 comes with gloss black alloy wheels, blacked out ORVMs with integrated LED turn indicators, roof rails and chrome door handles. The rear gets Ertiga like tail lamps with pillar lamps and silver faux skid plate on the bottom. On the inside, Maruti XL6 comes with premium looking cabin than Ertiga. Overall design of the cabin remains the same but, the colour combination has been changed to make it look more premium.
It offers a touchscreen infotainment system with Maruti’s Smartplay studio is installed. XL6 is a 6-seater MPV and comes with captain seats with armrest for the second row passengers. All the seats are wrapped in black leather upholstery which gives it a premium look. Other features include a multi-function steering wheel, automatic climate control, cruise control, smart hybrid system and so on.
As we all know, Maruti Suzuki does not offer diesel engine options with any of their products. XL6 is available with a a 1.5 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that has been developed by Suzuki inhouse. The 1.5 litre petrol engine generates 105 Ps and 138 Nm of peak torque. The engine is available with both manual and a torque converter automatic transmission.
Maruti Suzuki is currently working on new products for Indian market. Next-generation S-Cross crossover was spotted testing abroad and the next-generation Maruti Brezza was spotted testing in India recently. The SUV is expected to get an all-new design and will also be offered with more features. It is expected to come with the same engine but, a 6-speed automatic transmission instead of current 4-speed torque converter. It is expected to be launched in the market next year.
