Maruti Suzuki recently introduced the Black Edition for all models in their Arena and Nexa line-ups. The new Black Edition models have started arriving at dealerships across the country, and we have a video showcasing the Maruti Suzuki Swift’s ZXI+ variant in a detailed walkaround. The Maruti Suzuki Swift has always been a popular model among buyers in India, with customers from different age groups and spectrums accepting this hatchback. With the introduction of the Black shade, the popularity of this hatchback is expected to increase.

The video begins by discussing the changes to this hatchback. The Swift in the video is the ZXI+ variant, which is the top-end version. The hatchback appears similar to the regular ZXI+ version, with the only difference being the exclusive black paint job, which was previously unavailable with any of Maruti’s models. It should be noted that the Black Edition is only offered with the top-end ZXI and ZXI+ variants.

Regarding the vehicle itself, everything else remains the same. The chrome bits on the car have been reduced to achieve a sporty look. The Maruti Swift ZXI+ variant comes with projector LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, projector fog lamps, auto-folding, and electrically adjustable ORVMs with turn indicators. The top-end model of the hatchback comes with 15-inch alloy wheels, and the spare wheel on this car is a 14-inch steel rim. There are no window chrome lines, and the door handles are finished in body colours or matte black.

Regarding the engine and transmission, the Maruti Suzuki Swift is available with a petrol engine only. It uses a 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol engine that generates 89 Bhp and 113 Nm of peak torque. This hatchback has an ARAI certified fuel economy figure of around 22.5 kmpl. Maruti also offers a CNG version of the Swift in the market, with CNG variants only available with the VXI and ZXI trims.
