Maruti Suzuki Sx4 face lift to be launched soon!

The Maruti Suzuki SX4 has been around for a while now and it hasn’t seen any change over the past few years. Maruti Suzuki is now planning to launch an updated SX4, sometime this year.

This in typical Maruti fashion is going to be primarily a cosmetic upgrade with no mechanical changes. However in light of all the new sedans that are biting into the SX4’s market share even this is a welcome change. Also read: Maruti Suzuki SX4 diesel road test

Changes on the face lifted SX4 will include a slightly refreshed front thanks to a new chrome grille, new bumpers and headlamps. The bumper and headlamp though will be similar to the ones seen on the current model with only minor changes. The tail lamp too will undergo subtle changes to add to the new look of the sedan.

We expect the new SX4 to come with the same or similar design updates as seen on the face lifted SX4 which is being sold in the Chinese market. On the inside things will liven up a bit too. Maruti will most likely rework the dull interiors of the SX4 with more contemporary upholstery and the top of the line variant may even be bestowed with a navigation system. The SX4 facelift will likely be sold in petrol, diesel and CNG like the present model. Also read: Maruti SX4 ZXi road test and review
