Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza has been one of the best-selling compact SUV’s in the Indian market since its launch—it has topped the monthly sales charts ever since its launch. The rugged looks and the SUV proportions seem to have worked with the buyers.
However, Brezza has undergone a major change: From diesel-only it is now turned petrol only as Maruti is no longer making any diesel cars. The facelifted of the Brezza with the petrol engine was revealed at the Auto Expo 2020. Apart from the engine, Brezza gets an updated front fascia with new LED headlamps and tail lamps. The touchscreen infotainment system is also updated with the latest generation of SmartPlay Studio.
Maruti Suzuki introduced four variants of the Brezza namely LXi, VXi, ZXi and Zxi-plus. All the four variants are available with a manual transmission but only the top three variants are available with the automatic transmission. The base LXi variant will cost you Rs. 7.34 lakhs [ex-showroom] and the top of the line Zxi-Plus automatic will cost Rs. 11.15 lakhs [ex-showroom].
Maruti Suzuki Brezza is offered only with a single K15B petrol engine option. The engine is capable of producing 103hp at 6,000rpm and a peak torque output of 138nm at 4.400 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 4-speed automatic. The manufacturer is claiming a mileage of 17.03kmpl for the manual variant and 18.76kmpl for the automatic variant. Below is the list of all the variants and their ex-showroom prices.

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza: Variant-wise Specifications
The base lxi variant comes with safety features but misses out on a lot of equipment. But still it offers projector headlamps, led tail lamps, electrically adjustable mirrors and a music system. We would suggest that you opt for the vxi variant which will cost you around 1 lakh more but you will get a lot more equipment and value for money. The vxi variant will add led projector headlamps, wheel covers, steering mounted audio controls, rear headrests and Rear defogger. You will also get keyless entry with push button start/stop system, automatic climate control, two glove boxes and illumination for glovebox and front footwells.
The ZXi variant will cost you around Rs. 75,000 more and will get you black alloy wheels, rear wiper and washer, touchscreen infotainment system, voice commands and cruise control.
Spend another Rs. 65,000 and you can get the ZXi plus variant that adds a front sliding armrest with storage, automatic headlamps and wipers, leather steering wheel, automatic IRVM and a set of tweeters.
Vitara Brezza: Which is the VFM variant?
We suggest that you go for the VXi variant as it offers most value for money. The variant has all the essential features and comes in the automatic guise as well but the auto variant costs Rs. 1.4 lakh more. That is a lot of money. You can opt for the zxi variant if you really want the touchscreen infotainment system and the cruise control. But for most of the people, the vxi variant should do the job. We would also suggest that you should take a look at Hyundai Venue and Tata Nexon, if you want a better automatic for hassle-free city driving.
